A tiny but great spot for people-watching in the neighborhood. Had a delicious cheese sandwich as a snack and a drink of white wine. Portions are huge I must say. Friendly and helpful staf who seems to love their job and products. Can be on the pricey side but worth every penny. A little gem that should be cherished !

great customers service and selection of cheese. I love the suggestions I have had so far, and today, I was looking for a specific cheese, raclette, as I am hosting a raclette party tomorrow. They didn’t have it. So I went ahead and continued my search. only 10 min after the call, they called me back, letting me know that they found some for me. So sweet. Support your local cheese shop! they have two shops, both in Islington. The one I go to is int he Camden Passage, 5 min walk from the Angel Tube Station.

A bit pricey at times but a great selection and my favourite wine(no I won’t tell you which one) in London was found here at a mere £17 so I still find that they are a deal. Add to that — really good food in the am and coffee and the fact that, when it turned out they did not have decaf coffee beans, they f*cking ordered them for me, did not ask me to pay up front and had them when I came back set aside for me. Note that the use of profanity above was in a positive way and blocked out for anyone who might be offended by said profanity.

What a great neighborhood café with top tier food. Had the Full English Breakfast and it was fantastic. Wife had delicious egg scramble on toast. Flat White was quite good, also. Don’t half step. Don’t let the apparent size from the street fool you. They have a back dining and garden dining area too.

The cheeses? Great. The Brie which tasted like butter, superb. And I always have trouble getting the kind of cheddar I want in the states. One description to the couple working the counter and I got precisely what I wanted. Everything tasted great here, but even better was the staff. They were the sweetest and funniest duo. We had a blast just talking about… kale of all things. I walked out with more than I expected to get, since I anticipated buying nothing. They are awesome.

Love this place — very low-key and the seating area is tiny(at least during the winter when the garden is out of use) but the food and drink is very high quality. Superb brunch at weekends — high-quality ingredients make a great Full English, and there are regular, interesting specials. Great sandwiches, soups and cakes are available during the week for takeaway or eat in. The cheese toastie is a classic! Friendly service.

Cute little place that has some outstanding snadwiches, baked breads and pastries, full of great flavours… I occasionally treat myself to this place for lunch. Wish it were cheaper though! I mean when you get small change back from a tenner for a sandwich, crisp and drink… ouch.

I’d been attending a workshop at the Moving Arts Base across the street from this cute little café on Liverpool Road. While being close to Angel, it’s away from the hustle and bustle of Angel high street, which can be quite overwhelming in my opinion. Pistachio and Pickle is a cute little neighbourhood café with super-friendly staff behind the counter. I only ordered a take-away coffee, but the man behind the counter served me with a bright smile and that felt really nice. But I wasn’t the only one that received a friendly service — in the lower part of the café there are a few more tables and I saw some folks having breakfast and being engaged in a chat with another staff member. This seems to be the perfect place to come for a really nice weekend brunch — especially with the patio area in the back. Aside from coffee, breakfast and lunch items, they also have a little deli counter and I actually spotted my favourite Welsh cheese there from the Snowdonia Cheese Company: Red Devil with chillies!
