Pilates for movement, strength, balance and performance
Pilates tones and strengthens the body’s muscles — especially what we call the ‘core’, those muscles that are at the heart of nearly every movement we make.
Pilates is a safe form of exercise:
I have a large variety of clients with a variety of needs, and each has their own individual goals. I have helped clients with hypermobility, scoliosis, chronic back pain, those recovering from a stroke, and many more.
Beginners are welcome
Mat classes are run for up to five people at a time, during school term time, and these are an ideal and cost effective introduction to the basic principles of the pilates method. These will utilise accessories such as foam rolls, bands, over balls and light weights. Many mat class students graduate to equipment classes as they start to see the benefits; these can be run for up to three people at a time.
History
Established in 2006.
I initially trained as a dancer and performed with a number of Europe’s top contemporary dance companies over a ten year career before retraining as a pilates instructor.

I used pilates during my career as a dancer, and have also used it during my three pregnancies and also as a safe postnatal exercise to regain strength and shape.
