I’ve always wanted to try Purikura and I finally got the chance when I visited London!(In the Netherlands we don’t have purikura machines) It’s in a building with several other shops and it’s upstairs. On youtube there is a video on how to find it if you have difficulties with that. We got helped by a kind woman who gave us instructions on how the machine works(everything on it is in Japanese) After taking and decorating the pictures she printed it off for us and scanned it as well and send it to us by mail. Be aware that it might be busy since there is only one purikura machine, in that case she writes down your name and you can get back at the assigned time. The price is 12 pound for one purikura sheet, which might sound expensive, but then again, you’ll probably share costs with the people you take the picture with. There are also other photomachines, but we didn’t use them. :) 5⁄5

I spent MOST of my teenage years mucking about with sticker booths with my friends. Maybe it’s just a chinese thing. Thing was, there was this awesome place off Endell Street in Covent Garden called the Floral Print Club, which has closed down, and I was so sad that it did. Anyways, I was super happy when I found out that they also did sticker booths here. Sadly, service wasn’t as good and I just preferred the girly décor of floral print club. The chinatown offering was a bit cold, it’s a bit bare up there, and the machinese aren’t as kitschey. But they do offer holographic backgrounds, which are kind of a let down, if im going to be absolutely honest. Came back here recently, and maybe it’s because it’s been about 3 years since I use them, but man, posing is TIRING. Maybe its cuz we’re old and once you take a picture its done. There are times when editing it is fun and there times when it’s tedious. BUT I could see the appeal of this place, especially for those who are young, at heart or had a few drinks. I’m not sure it’s open after happy hour. BUTTHEYSHOULD. Drunk photos are AWESOME. Prices are pretty high. £16 for a machine.
