I just visited Pasta Cosi on Goswell Road for the second time. I thought that I would give them a second chance after my last experience of bland sauces dolloped over undercooked pasta. Unfortunately nothing much has changed. Yes, it’s only a fiver for a lunchtime meal but it’s just bland and boring. I can’t fault the staff, they’re both welcoming and polite. Phil

I was shocked to see that this business was not on Unilocal. It’s a small corner restaurant in Barbican not too far from the station. The menu list is short with some meaty, 70% of it being vegetarian italian dishes. I think it is run by a French man which I wasn’t expecting. There is outside and inside sitting area but not ideal for big groups. More ideal for a to-go or a quick meal. Their menu list looks great and there are 3 different types of pasta to choose from. The most popular is the spaghetti bolognese apparently which I decided to go for as it was the only one out of two meat dishes they had. The bolognese was quite tasty with the right amount of cheese. I did however find the pasta to be slightly over cooked. It did cost 4 pounds something and for that portion, not a bad deal at all!
