Northumberland Arms Kings Cross

Went to this pub with a small group of friends on Saturday, 01/04/23. There is an extremely aggressive barmaid working there (short, dark hair, didn't dare ask her name!!). She spilt some drinks, and then ranted at one of our group, even though he was nowhere near the table!!. She swore on several occasions, referring to us as "that f**cking group, bunch of f**king c***ts, etc. I would have complained to the owner, but it was a birthday party, and he was oblivious to this; and I didn't want to spoil his night. I believe the owner is retiring soon. If the incoming owner reads this, I would strongly advise on reviewing your front line staff. I know that other members of the group will also be sending in complaints. Disgusting individual.

great place for a couple of drinks, been several times when theirs live music on. friendly atmosphere with lovely people always made welcome, prices are reasonable

My girlfriend and I were planning on eating at the Japanese restaurant next door but it was closed, so we stopped in for a drink. The bathrooms are pretty dirty but who cares, it was a chill spot to grab a drink for a couple bucks. Mostly old locals drinking with newer music playing but not too loud, a pool table, great spot if you just want to relax and have a drink. Good service prices are 3 for most drinks

It’s very misleading from the outside, and even the inside, but it is good quality food, drink and service!
It’s quite dark when you walk in with loud music and generally full, but the staff were very friendly and they offer a great varity of quality and reasonably priced food and drinks. We went back a couple of nights the food was so good (they do excellent lamb shanks) and a great array of beer.
I would definately recommend a trip here, even just for a quick beer.

Although there are not many places to go to drink in Kings Cross, you do need an excuse to go to this place. It is a basic, spartan pub that is very bright and frequented mainly by workmen from the many building projects currently on the go.
There is a pool table and plenty of space, and although it is not intimidating, it does feel a little depressing once you are in. On the upside, it is very cheap and can be a good place to get a late drink if you don’t fancy queueing with drunk teenagers at the big chill house…
All in all this is a belt n braces kind of place — ok for a quick one with mates, but don’t bring your first date here!
