My local for about 50 years: loved it! It used to have John Bermiston at the helm which gave it that thing that Siany(above) says it lacks now.It was a lovely pub with Irish music,& lots of laughter. Still best place for wine in a pub in this area. Currently being refurbed(June 2012)

Superb boozer, right in the middle of Ad land, but amazingly doesn’t have a pretentious vibe. Good lagers on tap(Vier & Star), and they do a mean FishFinger Sandwich & Chips for under £6 Regularly drink there both at lunch and in the evenings, its a cosy place but here’s a few telly’s on the walls so you can catch whatever sports are on, all the staff are very friendly, and there’s a great atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend the place highly enough.

This pub is open later than many in the area which makes it a very good place for a last drink. Warren Street and Goodge Street stations are both within staggering distance for the last tube of the night. It can also be an easy place to meet people, given its prominent location on a corner on the main road. The pub is fairly average though… I can totally get what the other reviewer says about that ‘thing’. It does serve real ale, which is good, but if it wasn’t for the plus points I highlighted previously, I probably wouldn’t bother coming here.

Yeah, this pub is OK. Nothing too special, but some things that i really quite liked. Good points: Yummy wine. Not expensive. Seat outside. friendly staff. Bad points: Lacking that ‘thing’. You know that one that makes a good pub, a really really great pub. There’s nothing wrong with it here, but it doesn’t really have a huge dollop of special.
