Specialties
Newham Partnership Working (NPW) is a mutual organisation formed by Newham schools. Its purpose is to provide a ‘one stop shop’ offering professional educational services. The services provided consist of Education ICT, Schools HR, School Support, Governor Services and School Development. Our services allow for an environment that enhances the learning and development of children and young people, by removing the external pressures that schools and their staff face, thus allowing schools to focus solely on the provision of education.
History
Established in 2012.
NPW is the by-product of radical changes in the relationship between national/local governments and schools, and the universal commitment to partnership shown by Newham schools.
The process began in 2011 when a report presented by the co-op college, showed a very clear desire for the formation of a new partnership organisation that would help provide infrastructure and drive school improvement.
Almost simultaneously the council recognised a need to change the delivery method of Schools Traded Services (STS). By autumn 2011 there was a shared acknowledgement that an organisation run in partnership between Newham council and Newham schools was the favoured model for the delivery of STS — Schools HR, Schools ICT, Governing Body Support and School Management Support.
By 2012 NPW was formed with a board of trustee’s representing Newham’s Nurseries, Primaries, Secondary’s and Special schools.
