Where else in London can you get a discount suit with this great service? Well, a couple of places, but it’s nice to know these people have got your back.
A recent career change, brought about by my inability to avoid selling my soul to the Financial Services devil that rules London, required me to get a few new suits to look like every other suit monkey in Canary Wharf. Since I have worked in the interwebz for the last 6 years, I have never had to wear a suit to work and the concept of buying a new suit that had a brand name and actually fit was so foreign to me.
So, here comes Moss Bros to the rescue. Roy (a very helpful female staff) and John (from the Covent Garden store) have now changed my mind about suits and what makes a good suit. Anyway, I’ll spare people the details of the story behind it all, but yes, there’s great service at this place folks.
I ended up with a suit made by Moss using Zegna material and a Calvin Klein suit, along with 3 shirts and alterations for about £750. A bargain in my opinion. I had gone to try on a bunch of suits in M&S, John Lewis and a number of departmental stores, and have now found a new appreciation for last year’s season discount suit stores. If you really care for being up to date and want to pay full price for it, sure, go to Selfridges, but this place has got what you need for your day to day suit needs.
Will I go back? Yes. Whenever my suit needs resurface, I certainly would give this place a go again.
