Modern Touch is a little tiny place, off the busy streets around Angel that does a decent job of getting your nails in tip-​top shape.
Popped in on a busy Sunday — lots of people getting their nails varnished! Only got a gel/​shellac manicure and the guy who did it did a good job.
I only give 3 stars because while there were lots of nail technicians, I found that not many spoke English and trying to explain what I wanted was a bit difficult. Even trying to describe a colour was a bit tricky. Also, was a little concerned about how clean every thing was — not sure what their process was for sanitizing the tools were… at one point it looked like they were using the same cuticle clipper things on different people before cleaning them.

I am new to area and a student so wanted good quality at a cheaper price — this place was perfect. The place itself is nice and they offered me water, tea, coffee, etc. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The woman was very detailed and did a GREAT job on my nails. This place is CASH ONLY. (Gel manicure: 25 pounds, regular pedicure: 21 pounds) For someone looking for a good manicure at a reasonable price in Angel area, I would definitely recommend it.

Chapel Market area is filled with cheap nail salons. I had tried one time to go to one of them on Chapel Market and the service was so bad that I gave up and that is when I discovered Modern Touch. £20 spa pedi by good technicians… speedy, precise and friendly. What more could you ask for in the low budget nail category?

I’ve been going to Modern Touch since it opened. The staff are professional and friendly and they do great manicures and pedicures with lots of colours for you to choose from. I’ve also had facials there which are really good too. Would definitely say give it a try.
