Environmentally friendly design is at the heart of all the beautiful organic baby products, childrens clothing and funky baby clothes we sell at Mimimyne. Sustainability is built into every stage of the manufacture of all our organic cotton clothes for children: we stock all kinds of designer kids clothes that are kind to your child’s skin and to the environment.

We also sell sustainably produced, funky kids furniture that is made of recycled cardboard or FSC approved wood and a wide range of eco friendly toys including eco friendly board games, eco friendly kids wallpaper, recycled cardboard toys, organic baby toys and organic baby gift boxes.

All our products are either recycled, recyclable or biodegradable, produced from renewable or sustainable resources (eg FSC approved paper), certified organic, Fair Trade or hand-​made in the UK by designer-​makers.

We are members of Ethical Junction which independently vets its members and CarbonSmart accredited.

History

Established in 2008.

Mimimyne was started by Tabitha Potts in 2008 when she was looking for designer eco friendly clothes and other products for her two sons and found that it was hard to find products that looked great and were eco friendly as well. This interest led her ultimately to sourcing suppliers (at design and trade shows and in local markets in London’s East End) and setting up her own company, Mim​imyne​.com.

Since then Mimimyne has been a Finalist in many business awards (most recently the Pitch Perfect Business Awards 2010) and Tabitha and the products she sells have been featured in the national and local press including the Sunday Times, the Express, Junior Magazine, Angels and Urchins magazine, Docklands and City Magazine and The Wharf to name but a few. Tabitha was also a British Library Business and IP Centre success story in 2010.

Business Owner

Tabitha Potts is a ‘mumpreneur’ with a strong interest in design and the environment. She runs Mim​imyne​.com, selling beautiful eco friendly products for children. She is also a part time web content editor and social media specialist and has appeared as a speaker talking about social media and creating a business presence online.
