Possibly the best date ever. I’m a sucker of an original pick up line and «let’s grab a battered sausage» was a winner.
Phil is right, this place was voted the best fish and chips in Hackney and I have to say, value for money and taste, they didn’t get it too wrong. It’s a proper old school chippy. The lady serving you even had a stripey bib as a uniform.
It will be greasy, there is no alternative (replace your chips with salad, grilled not fried) and it’s a wonderful place to get Fish and Chips in the area. It’s on an estate so the area might not be somewhere you want to travel to. It’s more, for locals, run by locals.

Readers of the Hackney Gazette must know something, because a couple of years ago they voted this the best fish and chip shop in Hackney. Great food well cooked, generous portions, good prices. They do smaller portions too for the less-​hungry.
