McDonald’s

Last night I found myself in MDonight, not even hungry but had half an hour to wait for my train and so got a double cheeseburger and a vanilla milkshake. at midnight you see variuous types of people in mcdonalds. people who probably usually saythey dont go there… but they come out at midnight, whereas i am always in mcdonalds, no shame!! haha!

Why the shortage of corporatized fast food options in London?
I’m simply grateful to have this within walking distance of home. Affordable, on-​the-​go food where nutrition plays no role is a god given human right.
Between greasy spoon and pretentious, unsatisfying fare parading as high brow cuisine, one can always rely on the consistency that only McDonald can offer anywhere in the world.

I typically would never review a McD’s. But upon a discussion with one of my mates, we realised that while the food is roughly the same (not always but close), the level of service and cleanliness varies greatly and thus is worthy of a quick mention.
I, along with quite a few people I imagine, have a love/​hate relationship with fast food. There are times when it’s just all you want. A rich, greasy, burger with some crispy fries covered in salt and pepper. Yep that’s McD’s for me. So after our impromptu Bermondsey St bar crawl, we were in dire need of food and couldn’t wait for a pizza to be delivered. McD’s became the easy choice (if not optimal for the training régime — then again drinking a lot isn’t either).
The service here is top-​notch and maybe a little bit overboard. My mate ordered for both of us (I was standing right next to him and it was obvious that the food was for both of us). They made my order fresh as he took the last Big’n’Tasty so we sat down to wait. When it was called, I went up to get it but had to persuade the person (same guy who took our order) that it was for me and not my friend (why that mattered I don’t know). Points for making sure the food got to the right people but way too over protective.
Just a quick note, for those who haven’t had the Big’n’Tasty, I would recommend it if you are hungry. It’s about the size of a Whopper but the melted cheese mixed with the sauce is fantastic. It’s better than a Big Mac, about as much food as a double quarter pounder, and just satisfies.
The place is pretty clean and the toilets were super clean as well (which is very rare for a fast food joint). So overall, props for a good McD’s and I wish you weren’t my walk home!
