Design shoe brand Mascaro’s first London boutique in Marylebone High Street was opened around one year ago with big fanfares. Designer Jaime Mascaro started by designing ballet shoes in 1918 and the label today is well known at least by its high profiled fans. I am not sure what exactly did I expect from the shop but most certainly did not look like a designer boutique, just the opposite to be honest. Hand written price tags with price cuts and the bit messy out look aside, the shoes looked well made and most certainly feminine with still some decent ballerinas on the selection. Maybe not the style I would go for but beats many of its rivals down in the Oxford Street.
