great indian place… amazing food and reasonable prices… this is my go to place… often not busy due to the fact that they make most of their money on takeaways and deliveries… nothing fancy but always great food… only open for dinner… dinner for two always under £40… BYB… They also have a great 3 course weekday Monday through Thursday meal option for £9.99

A Sunday which found us hungry and with no plans or booking and a quick search on places that offer a taste card discount nearby led me to be dining at the Masala Kitchen. And I am glad that it did. The food was really nice, quick and fresh and the service was great. There was actually no one else there while I was there, although as another reviewer mentioned they do a lot of delivery and take out and I did see people collect orders while I was there. When you find yourselves the only customers it can often lead to being drowned in attention to the point where it feels pushy, or terribly ignored, but here they managed to strike the perfect balance of being there when you need them but leaving you in peace to enjoy the meal. I played it safe with chicken dansak, and shared mushroom rice and paratha. All of these were delicious! My dining companions really enjoyed their meals too. Great food at a great price!
