Magnus specialise in shoes for big footed women like myself, their sizes ranges from 8 – 12 and they also do some half sizes as well. Magnus do men shoes sizes from 12 – 16 but they don’t sell men shoes in this store. Magnus sell shoes, boots, trainers slippers and party shoes. They sell Converse in girly colours which i wont be able to get in average person sports shop, i would have to resort to men ones and they don’t do pink! Magnus also do long tights and socks. Their price ranges are from £40 to £180 depending on style of shoe. The cheapest would be slippers for £20. I’m not a fan of their prices, I recently got a pair of ankle boots on sale for £55 and was £89:95 before. I mean this shoes were perfect in fit and loved the look of them and was comfortable to wear. I like the fact that the width of the shoes are C fit and in the catalogue it will tell you the heel height. Oh yeah! you can order the catalogue which comes out 3 times a year. Magus shoes are not the most stylish shoes, I find some of their range a bit grannish. I mean you do find the odd gems like when when I got bought these yellow pumps which were perfect in every way and i just had to have, for £40. The shop is a small one, and all shoes are placed in foot size order, you will see the sale range in a little room at the back of the shop. The staff are professional. The shoes are from different countries in Europe, they obviously care about big footed women. The shop is situated on Chiltern street, which is full of independent shops. Magnus is across Long Tall Sally another tall women shop and a bit further down they their is another tall women shoe shop called Totally as well. So I make a day of it when i go down here. Magnus have a store in Hampstead and one in Northampton. From Mon-Sat the store open from 10:30am to 5:30pm and late night Thursday till 7:30pm. The nearest tube is Baker street and if you want to go to Oxford street its a 10min walk. I will always go into Magnus, just to find that gem of a shoe.

There was this freakishly tall guy at my university who always complained that he couldn’t find any decent shoes for his size, so consequently he wore the same size 14 trainers his entire university career. I wish he’d known about this store back then! Magnus specialises in shoes, workboots, wellingtons, trainers and more from Nike to Merrell with some of the sizes going up to a whopping 17! There’s also flats and heels for women too although they’re not especially high fashion I’m afraid girls.
