Love in a Cup is an independent espresso bar with a uniquely intimate and homely feel. It has become a popular meeting place for a loyal clientele — a vibrant mix of local residents, office workers, students, artists, commuters and tourists — who praise our warmth, charm and superlative personalised customer service. We use locally freshly roasted coffee beans (from Nude, Brick Lane roastery) and offer a full coffee menu including espresso, cappuccino, caffe latte, flat white and the now highly popular genera (made latte style with orange rind to bring out the chocolate notes in our coffee), which we believe we were the first to introduce to London. We are always happy to make our customers bespoke coffee to satisfy their individual tastes. We have a wide range of freshly baked patisseries (including gluten-​free friands — an Australian recipe made with almond meal instead of wheat flour), hot bacon and cheese English muffins and bacon & brie croissants.

I am an experienced Australian barista who managed a successful and much loved coffee cart at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, for 6 years catering for 22,000 students and staff. My experience is that customers thrive having a familiar and friendly face serving them exquisite coffee and snacks daily and providing a listening ear.
