I went to see the Philharmonic last night, 29÷01÷09, and I was so impressed. I bought rush tickets and sat in the least expensive seating which is located behind the orchestra on pews, and though I was initially weary, the experience far exceeded my expectations. This orchestra is so incredible I don’t think I would have thought anything less no matter where I was seated. This was the show’s composition:
conductor: Tugan Sokheiv (so young and so impressive, he was mesmorizing)
violin: James Ehnes (incredible)
Berlioz-​Overture, Le corsaire, Op. 21
Tchaikovsky-​Violin Concerto in D, Op. 35
Tchaikovsky-​Symphony No. 5 in E minor, Op. 64
Every part had me on the edge of my seat, and everyone around me looked as though they were having similar experiences. Extraordinary. Go often.
