I’ve been meaning to pop over to Libertea since I moved to Finsbury Park. Three years later I finally made it… and an adorable, little find it is. Really cute surroundings and lovely tea and sandwiches. I wish they’d mentioned that they had a tea menu — didn’t see this on the counter, didn’t think to ask and so default ordered English Breakfast as always. To be fair, I would probably have ordered the same regardless but it’s the principle of the choice. I did love the little timer that came with me tea — a cute and quirky detail. This seemed a great place to chill for a few hours — books and free wi-fi and tea. All ideal things. It’s a shame that they’re limited to salads and sandwiches due to a lack of a full kitchen as I think that this would be an ideal brunch place. It’s also a shame that they’re not open on a Sunday(though as they weren’t busy on a Saturday I can see why not) as that’s when I’d be more likely to amble by. But I will be back and I might even venture a more dramatic tea choice.

Nice neighbourhoody café in the Archway /Stroud Green /Holloway area. They serve home-made quiches and several salads. Good place to stop by for a quick lunch if you happen to work in the area. The owners — who speak French with each other — are very nice and friendly. They have several sofas to lounge on and a shelf with some interesting reads. Go check it out.

I went twice, both time they were running out of teas.

Awesome chicken rice and spicy black beans! Good capuccino. Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. Luckily I work around the corner so I take away for lunch once a week.
