Leon – The Strand

Clean and easy atmosphere and friendly staff. Love that the menu was straightforward and it was nice to have a healthy fast food option for a quick lunch in the area.

It’s the healthiest and best tasting «fast» food I’ve ever had. The sweet potato falafel is to die for. Specials change all the time but I loved them all. Food is FULL of flavor. Breakfast options are equally delicious. Staff is super friendly and efficient. Coming to London is always such a stark reminder for me how much better they’ve done on quick, healthy tasty food compared to the junk in the US. Leon is one of my very favorite places to grab a bite.

It’s not the cheapest lunch you can get but then you do get a huge portion.
Their also the friendliest staff in the area and even when it gets busy try to make sure you get what you ordered quickly.
A sucker for the seasonal special, but basically the whole menu is worth a try. Apparently they also do smaller portions so you don’t have to feel so glutinous — you just need to ask :)

Loved lamb kifta salad. Lemon chicken was fine, but nothing special. Would come back as it is a good fast healthy food option on in Strand.

A fast food culinary excursion. The portion size was generous and the menu diverse. The restaurant itself is clean and open, and the servers are polite and helpful. I had the meatballs and thought they were fantastic. Definitely surpassed my expectations for something easily labelled «fast-​food.»

This is a great place to come for a quick but good quality lunch. The staff are great and although the queues can sometimes be quite long they manage it well.
It is a little bit more pricey than other lunch places in the area, but it feels like healthy comfort food and I particularly love the warm food on a cold day! The lemon chicken tagine is a new favourite.

Good food at a good price and, most importantly, it’s served fast. I got the fish finger wrap and the fries. The fries aren’t great. They’re ok. The wrap was good. Not great. But it didn’t cost much and did it’s job of getting me full! Would recommend.

I’ve decided that Leon is my favorite ‘fast food’ establishment in London. Why? Well, you know how everything at Pret tastes like … Pret? Or how, when you walk past a Subway, you get a whiff of that unmistakable Subway smell? None of this happens at Leon. Nothing tastes the same; it’s constantly evolving, changing, different. The ingredients are fresh and it tastes like healthy, clean eating (though there are naughty options too, when you feel up to it!).
Leon tastes intelligent. And maybe it’s the prosecco I’ve had tonight, but the menu isn’t contrived and a lot of thought has been put into the flavors and the product. Their lemonade is the closest to the beloved lemonade of my home country, the US. Plus, as a on-​off lactose intolerant individual, I’m a big fan of their non-​milk milkshakes.
A winner all around.

I’m a sucker for happy people and good customer service. Maybe it was because the two previous places were somewhat rude when we walked in but this place is just good all over. Food. Customer service. Ambience.
Just what I needed for a good healthy breakfast. But don’t be fooled it may be healthy but it is oh so delicious.
I recommend this to anyone on the go but with a yearning for something tasty and healthy.

Come here as often as I can. I like the Leon chain a lot: great food, fast friendly service and a nice clean place to eat in. My particular favourites are the Moroccan meatballs and Porridge of the God’s with banana and chocolate. Yummy!
Downsides: food is never warm enough, the portions are small and I think it’s quite expensive for what it is.

Ideal for fast healthy food. I work not very far from the Strand restaurant so I decided yesterday to get some take away in Leon (I also like McDonald’s or Subway but I’m on a diet…). I must say that I was very hungry and the quinoa and chicken salad I got was tasty and good. I will come back.

Leon-​Strand, very nice place to quick lunch. Pretty cheap price, nice location. But I can’t say they serves very delicious food, it is not bad, but that’s all.

I like Leon, a chain of «fast food» places that now has outposts even at King’s Cross and Heathrow me-​thinks.
I don’t often go for full meals because I feel that the portions are pretty small. Ha. That made me sound like I EAT ALL THE THINGS ALL THE TIME. But, well, maybe let’s not dwell on that. Instead, let’s just say some of the great things:
— I LOVE Leon’s milkless «shakes». Made with almond milk and sweetened with dates, they’re small but a nice treat. Chocolate is particularly «dessert”-y, but my favourite is the one blended with banana and tons of cinnamon
— the «egg pots» are a brilliant idea, on top of being delicious. A perfectly poached egg is served up in, well, a pot with options like stewed beans and truffled cheese. A perfectly poached egg is a beautiful thing
— the people who work there are SO friendly, but not annoyingly so. Food is fast (I know, I know, it’s *fast* food, but it actually _​is_​here) and I like the chain’s design aesthetic
— I like that food options are marked not just with the standard v-​for-​veggie, but also you can see which items are gluten free, or have a low glycemic index
— kale cesar. Heck to the yes; get on that, gang
Atop the cost-​for-​quantity point, I’ll also agree with another reviewer who said that food isn’t always piping hot. I don’t get the sense that it’s pre-​made (maybe it is?) but these points cost Leon the extra star.
Unilocal note: maybe I’m being nuts, but the savings for takeaway vs. eat in seemed considerable here. Which is fine (I’ll take that to go, plz!) but worth noting.

I guess you could call this the ‘healthy fast food.’ It comes out very quick, on a tray, in a box and you take it away and eat it. While the menu is great and flavours are good it does have that fast food feel to it — things that are supposed to be hot… aren’t quite there, and there isn’t that same sense of freshness… Not bad though, i’m sure i’ll be eating there a lot more in the future, just won’t go calling it my favourite!

Great place to come for a cheap snack, particularly if you happen to be going to one of the theatres nearby.
The food is fast, you order it yourself but they bring it to your table. They have lots of options, including snackpots which are mini tapas sized meals, burgers and the healthy option of salads. I chose a salad which was very delicious.
Great place to come if you are in a rush or looking for something cheap, you can also take food to go.

I don’t go to Leon as regularly as I do other fast food establishments, because it is slightly out of my price range for fast food — however I’m always happy when I pop in.
It’s clear even though it describes itself as fast food it’s food is fresh and freshly prepared.
The thing I love about Leon is all it’s little touches. While the food is uncomplicated but really yummy, the layout of the restaurant and all it’s little touches are just adorable.
I sometimes feel that you’re really paying for the branded cups and napkins rather than the food, but it’s so bright and colorful it’s hard to complain.
It’s also great for us Veggies. It goes beyond a mushroom in a bun and offers good old Hallomi burgers with lovely touches such as a well toasted bun and amazing burger sauce. These little touches do make a difference.
Always a win.

I do feel very blessed to work in an area where I’m so spoiled for lunch options and I feel I don’t go to Leon’s enough. So many places offer healthy and tasty options but something about Leon’s lures me in there when I want something that’ll warm me up. I love the variety of wraps and salads. When I want a slightly bigger meal I’ll go for the boxes. For someone like me with food ADD, I do appreciate how they change around their menu all year round.
I think the hummous is just a okay. The baked waffle fries are deeeelcious! So good with less guilt!

I had a dinner pot Thai Green Chicken Curry, and a Goji juice for less than 6£.
Last time I just took a Ginger Steeper.
Everything is PERFECT and very healthy !!!

I recently went here after a film with friends as it’s something for everyone.
The staff were very friendly and I was a bit shocked to find out the «Ve» symbol* means vegan!
Now, there aren’t many vegan options (the menu itself isn’t large), but they are there and that’s great! (I’m sure they could easily make a few vegetarian items vegan). I had the Moroccan Curry with brown rice and slaw and it was surprisingly nice! (Can you tell I’m weary on chain restaurants?) I also had a couple of waffle chips which were really good too.
I’m glad to know I can safely go to Leon for a bite to eat and able to go along with friends without being a drag or just eating hummus.

Leon c’est l’une de mes chaînés de restauration rapide préférée.
Des plats résolument équilibrés, inspirés de recettes du monde entier, les différents mets y étant préparés chaque jour avec talents à l’aide d’ingrédients de saison de haute qualité (beaucoup de bio et produit locaux). Les plats sont particulièrement savoureux. Les serveurs sont généralement très sympathiques. Et pour couronner le tout, cela reste très abordable.
Il existe plusieurs adresses à Londres, mais celle du Strand est particulièrement agréable. La salle est plutôt grande, et certaines tables sont vraiment très confortables (vive les banquettes !). La déco non plus n’est pas en reste et complète cette atmosphère de langueur tellement agréable.
A quand Leon en France?
