We discovered this place few years ago. Since then we have been talking about this place frequently. We we return to London we will make sure we find a hotel close by to frequent this place. We love the pure, no nonsense taste of their food. We started by observing the pattern of the people coming and going from this joint. Then we checked out the the food looking into the window. The food looked clean and delicious and inviting. We talked ourselves into trying something becos it looked so good. We had no regrets. By the end we wanted more. Magdee our contact at this fast food restaurant was very helpful. We love this place.

What a gem: it’s a super clean and tidy little shop with consistently good, authentic food. The food here is so fresh and good, and a total bargain. The vine leaves are tangy and the perfect consistency. The foul moudamas is lemony and graced by good olive oil. The tabouleh has tons of fresh parsley. The hummous, divine. Falafel prepared to order for maximum crisp, fragrant freshness. The shawerma wraps are moreish. And fattoush fans rejoice – it’s delicious, too. I think you can tell who runs the show there, he has an air of authority. And he is always polite, fast, efficient. I don’t think he ever takes a day off. The other guys who work there seem to respect him. It seems like maybe he owns the place. In any case, he takes obvious pride in the food and service and cleanliness. Recently they’ve started a delivery service. Pros: Wholesome, fresh, authentic and tasty Lebanese food Fast Inexpensive Family-owned business? Cons: Haven’t really found any yet

I was attending a meeting in Portobello Rd which carried on a for a bit and when I came out in the cold and dark in desperate need of some food and refreshments. After wandering looking along Portobello Rd and trying to decide where to eat I settled on the the Lebanese Express because the window display looked good and the price of the buffet 2.99 sounded reasonable. Anyway I am glad I ate there because although the café/eateri was really small, the service was short and sweet and the food plain and simple and heat hot just the way I like it on a cold winter’s evening it filled me up and I was satisfied. For that price you can only pile up your takeaway dish once but the rices dishes, Aubergines dish, Chicken curry and the lasagne were nice to tuck into.
