The Kumon Study Centre in Brixton specialises in maths and English study programmes and delivers great results. Kumon study is popular with primary and secondary school children in over 45 countries, including the UK. The study programmes are for students of all ages and abilities: work is personalised to meet the requirements of each student. We have students as young as 5, as well as secondary school students and parents who want to brush up on their maths or English skills.

History

Established in 2012.

The Study Centre opened in March 2012 to respond to demand for supplementary Maths and English study in the Brixton area.

Meet the Business Owner

Yasmin F.

Business Owner

Dr Yasmin Fitzpatrick is the Kumon Instructor and Owner of the Brixton Kumon Study Centre. She studied for her first degree in Modern Languages at Wadham College, Oxford University. She also gained an MSc in Epidemiology from University College London and a PhD from Cranfield University, where she was awarded a studentship to study the role of patient knowledge in chronic disease management. Yasmin decided to train in Kumon instruction and open the Brixton Study Centre after she had seen just how much Kumon study had benefitted her own daughter. Yasmin’s aims are to equip every child who studies Kumon with the knowledge, study skills and confidence to participate fully in educational life and ultimately in public life, to the very best of their ability.
