King Cruises

If you are considering a Thames Cruise, don’t book it with King Cruises. Two of my friends and I booked a New Year’s Eve cruise and paid £120 each. When we arrived, we had to search for the pier because even though, according to the customer service rep, there should have been a map printed on our ticket there most certainly was not. We also were not warned about how busy the piers would be and the crowds were so overwhelming that we physically could not reach the pier. All 3 of us being from different countries, we had no idea Westminster would be so crowded and the only information King Cruises provided in regards to crowds was a link to a PDF of a note from the Mayor to local businesses and those planning to drive through the area. At no time during the ticket purchasing process were we warned of such overwhelming crowds or provided a map to our pier. Even with this complete lack of clear information, and absolutely zero signage at or around the pier, when I emailed the company asking for a refund and was told that it was our fault we couldn’t get to the pier and that they wouldn’t consider refunding us.
I was not alone in my complaint, as I received a mass email from this same customer service rep addressing a slew of complaints and passing the buck completely, claiming that it was the event security’s fault and accepted no responsibility. This rep then went on to say they had extensive talks with their legal team about whether or not they would have to reimburse us, which illustrates the fact that they know our complaints are completely valid. I responded to express my disappointment, and that email was simply ignored for weeks until I just received a letter from their lawyer stating the exact same false claims of providing enough information to customers. Don’t bother booking with King Cruises, especially on New Years Eve, because they’re all about the money and don’t care one bit about customers. King Cruises is all about the money and not a thing else.
