Stopped here on a shawarma search while out doing some errands in the Bermondsey Sq. area. Small interior with about 4 – 5 tables if you were planning to eat-in, however takeaway is pretty easy. My wrap was prepared freshly in front of me and had lots of flavor and a decent amount of heat(spiciness). Like a sign of any good shawarma wrap, it got a bit difficult to eat by the end with all the juicy leftovers!

Thirty five pounds might seem a bit steep in these parts but Jad Grill’s all about going back to basics — Lebanese basics. Who am I to resist when the chef decides I deserve the lamb stew — I’m a Chinese dude in search of inspiration after all. And just as a hedge, let’s do the lamb kefta, too. Over meatage can do no wrong. These were some righteous cubes of lamb, prepped well to preserve tenderness through the stewing. Sitting among peppers, courgettes, green olives all served with what felt like, may be, chicken stock-steamed rice, lent it a very down home feel.
