When I saw this place I had to ask myself the following question: «Why did the chicken cross the road?» Okay, that’s applicable because I was on the other side of the street from this shop and I almost didn’t go in because I didn’t feel like crossing the busy street. Then I remembered Mr. Chicken and got to the other side. I had no intention of buying anything, but that never leads to any success. Despite the rather moderate to high prices in the window display, there were quite excellent deals on the inside. It was like a pineapple — prickly on the outside, but so nice on the inside! Not everything was within budget, but they’re clearance rack was super. I walked away with the best shoes I’ve ever seen for a fiver. Patent leather and Spanish made(ironic because I thought this was the Italian Footwear Company) and so damn cool. The winning shoes are unusual — black and yellow with good heel support. Pointy toes and a zebra-esque layering of leather that culminates in a batman meets Austin Powers kind of look. The sales lady was quite nice and complimented something I was wearing. I can’t remember what, but it was flattering. I’d definitely go back for seconds here.
