Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days per week and overlooking the waterside and bustling market and Camden Lock.

Featuring live bands on Thursdays, live dance music & Djs Friday & Saturdays and a very popular open-​mic night every Sunday. These events attract a conscious and eccentric crowd, who enjoy the company of like-​minded positive people in an intimate and uplifting environment.

Established in 2007.

The café was founded in 2007 on the waterside at Camden Lock where directors, Dominik schnell (business entrepreneur) and Bella Willink (raw food writer and nutritionist) wanted to extend their benefits to a wider audience.

At the heart of inSpiral’s ethos is the celebration of life, the vibrant variety of nature and it’s superfoods and the many exquisite taste sensations that can be found in simple, yet creatively combined, optimum nutrition wholefoods.

We believe that human wellness, and therefore happiness and indeed evolution, is closely linked to the quality of fuel we put into our bodies. All of our food products are 100% vegan (and therefore cholesterol-​free) with a large selection being raw, which ensures unadulterated, live enzyme nutrition for enhanced vitality.

We ordered the raw wrap and burger. They both tasted really good but not exceptional. I like how it’s in Camden and how friendly the waiters are but considering the hype, it was a little disappointing. I did enjoy how I could make my own juice but everything was a little overpriced considering it didn’t taste amazing.

Saw this raw food restaurant when strolling around in Camden and looking for veggie food. Absolutely unique atmosphere, overlooking the canal, nice atmospheric music.
The people were really warm and welcoming, more than attentive!
The food was gorgeous: I had a quinoa-​kale stir fry on a banana leaf with a banana-​cocoa smoothie. Amazingly delicious! Coming back soon ;)

We ordered the raw pesto pasta which wasn’t up to expectations. When we asked to have it changed the staff was super rude.
We offered to pay the difference and have the order changed to a burger but the arrogant fellow preferred to give us a refund and not serve it.

I wanted to love this place, but it just misses the mark in my opinion. The food is good, but the general lack of cleanliness is really disturbing and the staff don’t seem to have a clue what’s going on. Due to the lack of hygeine, I definitely won’t be returning.

Came here for brunch on a lovely sunny day. We managed to blag a seat at the window overlooking the canal. You order and pay at the till, which is always a hit with me as it means you can get up and leave whenever you want. The girl that served me was very smiley and pleasant.
They have a vast selection of vegan and raw vegan products available to buy; Himalayan pink salt, vegan treats, chocolate, crisps, shakes, natural supplements etc. Prices seemed pretty reasonable.
We both ordered the vegan bake-​up. A huge plate with homemade sausage, tomatoes, potatoes, scrambled tofu, tamari mushrooms, organic beans, gluten free toast and a lovely salad. It was so filling and tasty. Had a soya latte to wash it down, which was just as good. It came in at about £9, which is a bit pricey but worth it for the quality and quantity.
There were posters for music events that they have. They general vibe of the place was very relaxed, casual and relaxing.
Can’t wait to go back here when we’re next down in London.

Angelockt von vielen guten Bewertungen hat sich unser Weg auch in die Inspiral Lounge gebahnt. Die Auswahl landete bei einem großen Salatmisch, laut Karte mit Dip.
Als dieser Dip nicht kam, fragten wir noch einmal nach. Angeblich sei die Karte nicht mehr aktuell, jetzt würde es keinen Dip mehr geben (dies war aber die einzige Variante, die überall rumlag). Als wir darauf hinwiesen wurde uns dann wiederwillig noch ein Dip serviert, der war dann auch wirklich lecker.
Insgesamt haben mir 3 von den 4 Salaten sehr lecker geschmeckt, einer war leider ungewürzt, so dass ich ihn zurücklassen musste.
Ein kleiner Lichtblick war dann aber noch die große Fensterfront auf den Kanal — wirklich sehr hübsch

Il y a quelques temps que je souhaitais tester ce restaurant dans Camden. J’ai profite de la compagnie d’une personne ouverte aux experiences vegetariennes pour en pousser les portes! Et nous avons ete convaincues, a 300%!
Mon burger vegetarien et sa crêpe au massala etaient un pur delice. Le gout surprendant des potatoes wedges né m’a pas conquis, mais les gouts et le couleurs. L’eau de coco a meme la noix fait toujours son effet, et les serveurs plus qu’adorables nous ont offert un dessert (qu’ils aveient prepare en trop pour un autre client). Le restaurant propose une vue vraiment chouette sur le canal et vend egalement des produits de la marque Inspiral. Mention speciale aux cereales maison, plein de bonnes choses, et delicieux!
J’y retournerai, c’est certain!

Went in with my raw vegan friend on a Sunday evening. The place was busy, the background music was nice and the lights were dim.
The only free spot was at the tall ‘bar’ table next to the dj’s set which was not covered by table service. It was a bit annoying to have to go to the counter to order and pay right away. But I guess it makes sense regarding the sign next to the counter was giving a friendly advise to look after one’s personal belongings as long as thiefs operate in Camden Lock area.
The staff seemed to be genuinely friendly and nice. I was pleased with the service. We shared a plate full of different organic bites such as raw pizza, turnip dumplings, salads and more. For dessert I took a raw passionfruit tart with coconut crust which wasn’t any less delicious than a traditional cheesecake.
All in all I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and the alternative food. Although it was a bit unusual for me, it is definitely worth a try.

We heard great things so we decided to stop by for breakfast. We paid £8 for a plate of mostly undercooked beans, about 30% of the plate. The other 70% was of salad, potatoes, one sausage, hard toast that was almost inedible, and two small bites worth of bland tofu. Skip this place and head to Cookies and Scream for a morning treat.

I used to work in Camden for 2 years and never knew about this vegan restaurant/​café/​diner/​juice bar/​music venue. Having dropped in for a juice on Monday afternoon, I completely regret not looking out for this spot when I was around.
The service is fabulous and all items on the menu are really focused around healthy eating, they have a website too, selling all their healthy eating vegan products. I will be going back for food, but this time I only grabbed a ‘rootical’ juice which was really nice (has a kick to it with the ginger in!).
Theres a good view, overlooking Camden Lock and part of the market. I will definitely be returning for some food, though my only concern is that seating is limited!

I just love the vibe of this place. After a long afternoon of shopping at the Camden Markets, their Rootical juice was just what i needed. £4.50 for a big glass of bright purple goodness (it’s the beetroot, the juice also has carrot, kale, lemon, mint, and ginger. mmmm!) You have to like beets to like this one. I thought it was wonderful, super healthy and very bright and fresh tasting from the lemon, mint, and ginger. We didn’t linger in the café, but it just seemed so darn cool. Full of tasty looking vegan treats, big windows overlooking the canal, plenty of outlets so you can stay a while and work, and a friendly staff. Wonderful place to get a fresh juice, and I’d love to try some healthy food the next time I’m in Camden!

I know that Inspiral holds events and is a music venue as well as a café and restaurant, but my review is purely for the food.
I stopped by once for their green smoothie – it was delicious and creamy and just a tad sweet – I made a mental note to come back soon in the future.
I came again about a week later with a companion for lunch. We went for the raw burger, a side of daal and some vegetable stew thing, mango lassi, and a the raw chocolate blackout tart.
The burger does not taste like a burger. I wasn’t expecting it to, though, so I loved it – it was earthy and nutty, but I can see how if someone wasn’t used to eating raw products masquerading as cooked animal product – then it might resemble chewing on dirt. Which is what my companion thought, I am pretty sure. I finished off the ‘patty’ while he went for the stew. The mango lassi was good, albeit nowhere near as good as the green smoothie (he remarked that ‘you can definitely taste that it hasn’t been made with any milk or yogurt or cream – good thing in my book, bad thing in his) and we went for the chocolate tart.
After asking what was in it, we were told that the ‘secret ingredient was avocado’ – it was surprisingly dense with a rich, chocolatey flavour, and very creamy. The entire meal came out to about 16 pounds (and we shared everything) so it is a little on the pricey side, but I will continue to come as they serve a niche in the market and you can trust that everything is vegan.

I came to inSpiral for lunch and they had a really nice coconut curry with cauliflower. I had a bit of that and some salad, which was pretty tasty. I would definitely come back here if I were in the area and craving some wholesome vegetarian food. The food, itself, gets 4 stars.
The reason why I’m giving it three is because I was really hoping to spend the afternoon there doing some work, but the Wi-​Fi doesn’t work. Everyone else I talked to couldn’t connect either and no one who worked there knew how to resolve the issue. Also, I ordered a juice and they couldn’t make it work b/​c their juicer was broken. No problem — they refunded me for it. But then, they offered me tea on the house. I thought it was a nice gesture, but it never came. So I left feeling a little underwhelmed. I guess I just had higher hopes for the place.
But if you’re a vegan/​vegetarian, it’s definitely worth the stop in for lunch.

Stopped in for a bite of dinner while wandering through Camden because I’ve seen the positive Unilocal reviews. I did like it; it’s exactly the sort of chill, hippy-​ish place that makes me happy. I got a small pick-​and-​mix and the server said I could get as many things as I wanted, so naturally I chose four different things, a little bit of each. It was all pretty delicious. I also grabbed a bag of beetroot, acerola, and kale chips (I had to look up acerola, apparently it’s a tasty superfood berry!) and a small tub of vegan icecream. I recommend avoiding the vegan ice cream — it was really, really terrible. Maybe it was just the flavor I got (dandelion and espresso) but I was really annoyed that they called it «better than real ice cream». I’ve had a lot of really tasty dairy-​free desserts, but this stuff was disgusting!
But as you can see, the frozen dessert did not deter me from being a fan of the place in general. It may not be particularly cheap, but the service is friendly and the vibe is laid-​back and nice, like everyone is friends. I bet most of their food is good, they just need to do something about that ice cream.

Such a tranquil, chill spot in Camden. Fresh vegan eats, freshly made juices, good energy, and a lovely view of the canal. I ate lunch here on a day trip to Camden. I had a tomato basil soup with a berry smoothie. The food was expensive, but it was satisfying and I was able to use their wifi while chowing down.
They also have ice cream, snacks, pastries, cakes, and coffee drinks. I always enjoying supporting establishments with wellness in mind. This will be the first place that I go to when I’m back in Camden!

Je retournerai à Camden rien que pour ce resto !! Ici, j’y ai mangé les meilleures glaces de ma vie (une base sans œuf et sans crème et pourtant si onctueuse !!). Les parfums sont créatifs et originaux, 100% naturels et avec tous les bénéfices de la Raw Food. On n’a pas osé celle aux pissenlit/​café/​amande, mais celles à la lavande, à la menthe ou au chocolat cru sont absolument DIVINES !
La boule coûte un peu cher (2,50 £), mais finalement pas plus que celle des artisans glaciers de France.
L’accueil est chaleureux et souriant, la musique très agréable (Massive Attack, etc) et la vue sur le canal couvert de lentilles d’eau est tout à fait délassante.
Bref, une adresse saine et délicieusement relaxante !

Obwohl ich meinem Vorredner in seinen Kritikpunkten durchaus Recht geben muss, bekommt dieses Lokal von mir die Höchstbewertung. Denn die Vorzüge überwiegen die Nachteile bei weitem! Am Besten wird es dort Leuten gefallen, die gesunde Ernährung zu schätzen wissen und dennoch Ansprüche an den Geschmack stellen (es gibt eine Riesen-​Auswahl rohe/​vegane Süßigkeiten, die absolute Geschmacksbomben sind, ohne Zucker oder anderen ernährungstechnischen Müll; dazu gehören zB Torten, Schokolade, Eiscreme (unbedingt probieren!!!) Smoothies, Milchshakes, Müsli und co)
Diese Dinge kann man dort auch zum Mitnehmen kaufen, außerdem liefert das Inspiral an einige Läden in der Umgebung, falls sich jemand länger in London aufhält. Auch zum lunch/​dinner gibt es dort viele leckere Sachen, die allerdings ihren Preis haben (Hauptspeisen bis zu zehn Pfund) und, wenn man zu Zeiten kommt in denen das Inspiral nicht so hoch frequentiert ist, selten auch mal nicht warm genug sind (die Sachen werden leider nicht frisch zubereitet und die Hauptspeisen Auswahl ist nicht so besonders riesig, weil das Ganze bei so viel Kundschaft anders vermutlich nicht funktionieren würde. Dafür gibt es auch ca drei Rohkost-​Optionen und viele verschiedene Beilagen von denen man zu jeder Hauptspeise drei verschiedene wählen kann. Die vegane Lasagne ist superlecker! Frühstücken kann man dort auch. Es stimmt dass man zu den Hochzeiten sehr lange ansteht, es ziemlich hektisch zugeht und manchmal auch keine Tische frei sind. Außerdem wird die Auswahl kleiner, je später man kommt, was andererseits auch für das Lokal spricht, denn so wird am Ende nur minimal Essen weggeworfen. Meist lohnt der Besuch sich aber trotzdem aufgrund der coolen Events wie zB Konzerte und Open Mic nights und der coolen Atmosphäre. Tagsüber ist es auch total schön die Aussicht auf den Camden Market zu genießen. Alles in allem empfehle ich das Inspiral allen Veganern/​Vegan-​Symphatisanten ganz dringend, da es mein absolutes Lieblings-​Restaurant in London ist. Wer es lieber gemütlich mag sollte unter der Woche morgens oder mittags/​nachmittags hingehen. Persönliche Empfehlung: Probiert das legendäre Pekan-​Cashew-​Vanille und das Erdbeereis! Der Preis hat sich gewaschen, aber es ist jeden Cent wert :)

S’il y a bien un terrain sur lequel, à mon humble avis, nos amis anglais nous surpassent en matière de gastronomie, c’est bien celui du végétarien.
InSpiral est un petit resto/​café/​bar-​concert qui propose de savoureux plats végétariens, pour des prix assez raisonnables.
Idéalement situé à l’entrée du marché de Camden, et surtout juste au bord du canal, on contemple une vue magnifiquement reposante, dans un décors ambiance champêtre où le bois domine.
Au menu, des plats avec au choix 3 accompagnement pour £7 à 9, ou bien une assiette de 6 accompagnement pour £6 à 8 (en fonction de la taille de l’assiette choisie).
Les accompagnement ce sont des légumes et céréales cuisinés: légumes de saison agrémentés de diverses épices, qui les rendent vraiment savoureux. Il manquait juste d’un peu de sel dans les miens.
La maison propose également de très bons bagels avec toujours une garniture végétarienne. Là aussi tout à fait goûteux, le pain est savoureux et n’est pas écrasé comme une crêpe à la sortie de grille.
Quelques douceurs sucrées sont également au menus. Divers gâteaux type cheese cake, carrot cake, cookie etc. Et puis évidement des jus fraichement pressés.
Un vrai moment de plaisir avec la sensation de se faire du bien… De la gourmandise déculpabilisante en somme.

Oldenburg, Niedersachsen
Mitten auf der Camden High Street, einer der wohl hippsten und überlaufensten Straßen Central Londons, befindet sich ein kleines Organic Café, welches fast ausschließlich vegane Spezialitäten anbietet. Das Angebot reicht dabei von Vorspeisen und Snacks wie Salat, Sandwiches, Kartoffelspalten, Hummus oder Guacamole über Hauptspeisen (Rohkost-​Sushi, Burger, vegane Lasagne, Gemüse– und Reisgerichten, Pilzpastete und verschiedenen Currys) bis hin zu mehr als einem halben Dutzend veganen Eissorten und wahrhaftig unglaublichen Kuchen wie z.B. Schokoladenmousse-​Torte oder Tiramisu. Besonders letzteres schmeckte einfach göttlich, auch wenn es preislich nicht unbedingt ein Schnäppchen war (£ 3,80). Auch die anderen Speisen sind etwas gehobener, was aber angesichts der vollständigen Bio-​Qualität und des grandiosen Geschmacks vollkommen in Ordnung geht. Zumal wir uns ja im Zentrum Londons befinden!
Trotzdem mag ich keine Höchstwertung vergeben, denn die Inspiral Lounge ist zumindest am Wochenende dermaßen überlaufen, dass man, verlässt man seinen Platz, Sorge haben muss, dass dieser sogleich von anderen Gästen weggeschnappt wird. So gemütlich und angenehm das Interieur auch sein mag, so ist die Atmosphäre doch leider etwas hektisch und laut. Der permanente Andrang, der ja eine wunderbare Bestätigung für dieses gastronomische Konzept darstellt, führt aber auch dazu, dass das überaus nette und freundliche Personal manchmal etwas überfordert wirkt.
Fazit: Hier werden kulinarische Highlights der veganen Küche geboten, aber eine Oase der Ruhe ist die Inspiral Lounge wahrlich nicht. Wer ersterem zustimmt und wen letzteres nicht stört, für den dürfte aber die Inspiral Lounge der absolut perfekte Ort sein!

Café végétarien situé dans Camden. Cet endroit est rapidement devenu un incontournable du quartier avec au sous-​sol sa terrasse donnant sur le canal fort agréable.
Ce café sert des boissons (notamment un très bon chai) et des plats végétariens/​bios J’avoue n’avoir goûté qu’un bagel qui était bon et leurs gateaux sont pas mal pour le buffet veggie je n’ai pas d’opinion né l’ayant jamais tenté
Ce café n’est pas très grand mais reste ainsi convivial.
Les serveurs sont très sympas et la musique de qualité.
L’inspiral était également avant d’ouvrir ce café (et est toujours) une scèné lounge importante dans des festivals anglais (en particulier scèné historique du glade festival), ce café en garde l’esprit.
La plupart des soirs des animations ou concerts de qualité (souvent gratuits ou 5£ maxi) sont organisés (world/​ethno ou carrément progressive), des grands noms sont notamment passés y faire un tour (eatstatic ou system 7)
et un de mes amis (qui a monté son label à Londres) y joue parfois gage de qualité !!!
En résumé du côté de Camden, voici le meilleur coin convivial pour se poser après une après-​midi shopping
