I came here last night with a big group of colleagues and clients and the staff were very accommodating even though it was a Friday night and we didn’t have a reservation. Service was fast and friendly and the food was actually very good. We had some sharing boards of cured meat, olives and buffalo mozzarella that were excellent(well i can’t vouch for the meat as I’m pescatarian). For main i had a very nice buffalo mozzarella and sundried tomato pasta cooked perfectly al dente. The only slight criticism is its not cheap but then it is mayfair and good food and its not crazy expensive at all(£12 to 14 for pasta).

Wow! Walking by, looking for a place to eat, I stumbled upon this gem. It was a little busier than places around it, and I heard Italian being spoken by some guests. These are good signs! I ordered the calamari, and an interesting chicken dish with pancetta, mushrooms and fontina, and they were both great tasting, well presented, and generous portions. Décor is mainly traditional, but with subtle modern touches such as mood lighting. Highly recommended.

Went for dinner here at a saturday night, after the concierge at our hotel recommended it. Didn’t seem like much at first, but it looked much better when you got inside. We had a great waiter who made a few jokes without being annoying. I ordered a tuna and he recommended a wine that was just perfect. I would definitely go here again next time I’m in London.

This review is long overdo. I must start off by saying that I first discovered the Earls Court branch of this restaurant, and I completely fell in love. The food was fantastic, the prices were great and the wine selection was out of this world. My favorite two dishes were the beef filet with gorgonzola sauce, and the truffle linguini. MYGOSH they were amazing. I lived in Italy for 3 years and I felt like I had been transported back. To my complete dismay, it closed some time ago. When I walk by the empty space, I still get very upset. This was until I realized that they had another location in Mayfair! I was thrilled, and so excited to go. The layout of the restaurant was pretty much exactly the same as my favorite Earls Court location. Dark wood and old world charm mixed with the aroma of truffles and fresh pasta. The wine list was equally impressive, and we settled on a Nero Davola. We waiting patiently for the food to come, when it did to my shock and horror… it was terrible! The menu was the same, the ambiance was the same, but obviously the chef was not the same! The food was bland, under salted, and slightly cold. The beef was cooked ok, but the gorgonzola sauce had lost its strong creamy flavor, the truffles didn’t pop through the pasta at all. Also this place is not cheap, so it just added insult to injury. I wish the Earls Court location didn’t close, as it was perfection. Sadly, I was less than impressed with the Mayfair location and won’t be returning.

Hands down, this is my favorite Italian restaurant in London. I’ve had a lot of the dishes here and it’s all consistently great. The service is good. The décor and ambiance are pleasant. I’ve been here enough that the staff now knows me when I’m in town visiting. Can’t wait to come back for my Italian fix.(Whoever said London doesn’t offer great food lied.:)
