History

Established in 2009.

We are a young and enthusiastic startup. We’re based in Cork, Ireland, and have offices in London, UK and Vancouver, Canada. We have clients in Europe, US and China. We work closely with Microsoft, as our HR software is on their Windows Azure cloud. In May 2010 we were nominated Microsoft Bizspark startup of the day. We are among the 18 most promising startup in Europe. Furthermore, we have recently won the Cork Company of the year award, given by Cork Chamber of Commerce. We won the award for the Emerging category (in business less than 5 years). We’ve created HR Locker as we believe there is no need for complicated installation processes, onboarding and lenghty training. Our HR software is web based, removing the need for infrastructure or installation, you are ready to go in less than 5 minutes once you sign up and we have a support facility available ²⁴⁄₇ online. HR Locker is proud to contribute to the success of many companies and we hope to partner with many more.

Meet the Manager

John D.

Manager

John is the business owner and managing director. John is known as a serial entrepreneur, as he successfully built a number of companies before starting HR Locker. John was previously a director and co-​founder of Upstart Games, a mobile games developer and publisher which published games through tier 1 mobile operators globally. It was acquired in 2006. In the first wave of the Internet build out Dennehy was CEO of Zartis​.com, a Web development company which was sold in July, 2000. Upstart had offices in Japan, Europe and US. John could not find an optimal solution to manage disperse human resources. That’s how he came up with the idea to create HR Locker. In this recession time, more than ever, you need to be able to control and manage your time and costs more efficiently. That’s what HR Locker is for.
