Housekeep

I enrolled my daughter with Housekeep after reading only great reviews. Unfortunately, her experience was less than exemplary. I specifically chose this service for three reasons (1) reviews; (2) the fact that they are insured; and, (3) she would have the same cleaner on a regular basis. Unfortunately, none of these things held true. My daughter is partially disabled and needs the services I arranged to be able to care for her 2 year old and work full time as a teacher. She had a good cleaner on the second try and asked that she be retained. Each week, she received someone else, often with no notice. They either didn’t complete the job in the allotted time (though, the preferred cleaner did an exemplary job in the time Housekeep said it would take), or had no clue even how to make a bed (e.g. putting the duvet cover under a top sheet). Despite multiple calls by my daughter to have the same cleaner regularly, she continued to get others with unsatisfactory performance. She wanted to be able to give someone she knew access to a key when she wasn’t home before the term started. That isn’t the end of her problems. The last person, who did not even dust her lounge, somehow spilled water? on a section of her previously unmarred laminate floor. The result was buckling of the floor that will need replacement. It took over 3 days to absorb the moisture! The damage was immediately reported along with pictures. She was told they would look into it. This was about a month ago, and no response has been received. What is the point of their advertising insurance if they do not accept responsibility for damage done by their employees. I’m not sure who is writing the reviews for Housekeep, but they are definitely not reflective of the service we experienced. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Really impressed with Housekeep. They take all the hassle away from me, and deliver consistent service. I appreciate the little things (taking my bins out, making sure that they understand any particulars that I want etc), and know that I can rest assured that the quality will be the same each week. From the confirmation email at the start of the week, to the competitive pricing and automated payment, I couldn’t ask for anymore. Thanks Housekeep, and keep up the good work!

Best cleaner I have ever had — friendly, responsive and good value
Housekeep is the best and most reliable cleaning service I have ever had. My flat is always looking spectacular, and the team are always very responsive to any special requests. I take a lot of comfort that the cleaners are all insured and that I know my keys are centrally and securely held when my flat is not being cleaned. Automated payment is simple and easy, and pricing is competitive — no need to worry about leaving cash each week. 10/​10, well done Housekeep!
