Description

Specialties

We have been operating in Notting Hill for over 40 years, providing a caring and stimulating environment that develops a child’s potential and skills so that they go on to pre-prep and primary schools happily and confidently.

With an unusually high teacher to pupil ratio and a staff of qualified teachers, we provide a high quality mix of play and educational activity, language and social development in a calm, child-centred and comfortable setting. In addition to the foundations of reading and numeracy, specialists provide drama, music and French tuition.

Children normally join us at the age of 2 ½ and leave as they approach 5. Our ethos and practical arrangements are designed to provide what is best for children. Our school year is divided into three terms, each with a half term break.

If this sounds like the kind of school that would suit your child, please contact our Principal on the number given and arrange a visit.

History

Established in 1968.

Holland Park Nursery School was started by Notting Hill mothers for their children. To this day, we remain a small School in order to maintain the sense of community and security that helps small children thrive. Many of our staff (who are nearly always qualified teachers) have entrusted their children to our care before working at the school. The current Principal was previously Head of Reception Years at Westminster Under School and her children attended Holland Park Nursery School.
