I recently read about a successful lady who built a prosperous business after she started making and selling candles at Camden Market. I don’t have the ambition of creating an empire but I was looking for a hobby and I thought candle making was an interesting and original idea. I searched online and found that everything a beginner like me could need was available at Hobbycraft. I bought the House of Crafts Candlemaking Starter Kit which included wax pellets candle moulds coloured dyes wick wick rods mould sealer. I’m very proud to say I managed to make a candle for Christmas following the instructions in the kit. I think I will look through other options and make some more to give as presents.

PinkCreamBlue loves hobby craft! We get so much inspiration for the next Nappy Cake or new line of Decoration to supply for a shower event just being inside the store. Customer service is great in the place but some staff members don’t know much so you have to ask the right person or you will end up in the wrong area. The downfall is that it can be pricey, but when the craft material is used you get the most marvellous items. When customers see our stuff they know its done professionally and with quality. My next inspiration I got for the company(as the Creative Director) is Decopatch which has been mention on Kirsties Handmade Britain(love that program). So watch this space. A nice large and spacious shop. Spread across two floors this store stocks almost every crafty thing you can think of from card making supplies to airfix kits for the boys. It can be hard to navigate as it’s so large but the wait time for queuing is often short. The staff are friendly but their crafting knowledge could do with a bit of work.

I could spend an absolute fortune in hobby craft. this shop has everything your heart could desire for all your crafting needs. It stocks products for all kinds of arts & crafts projects and has some specialist items that may be difficult to find in other stores. Hobbycraft have regular displays and demonstration days which can be great fun and may even give you ideas for your own craft projects. If you want to make anything seasonal(christmas /easter) I would advise you to purchase what you need early as Hobbycraft tends to stock these things about 2 months in advance and they tend to sell out quite quickly. The reason I have given 4 stars rather than 5 is because this store can be a bit expensive

I ma so pleased they opened a hobby craft in Romford. Located in the Brewery part of Romford Hobby craft is masive and full of great crafting materials. They hold loads of demonstrations and these are free. Staff are great and they always have loads of stock, including great christmas crafting ideas. They have special offers and competitions. Prices are higher than you might find on the internet however but is great for convinience.

HobbyCraft has to be the best shop for Arts and Crafts in Essex. Its been there quite a few years but has been very successful. They cater for hundreds of different crafts — knitting, cake making, floristry, glass painting — you name it. They have a good selection of books and magazines. The staff are always helpful. They regularly hold instore demonstrations testing new products. They also do great Christmas selections which will go in the sale after Christmas. There is literally everything you could need for your crafts in one store. They even do a big range of train sets and cars. Their prices are fairly reasonable — they have lots of buy one get one frees or buy 2 get 3rd free.
