Habitat

Normally, I am a huge fan of Habitat. Their furniture is great but this review is about their service provider.
This company’s sole purpose is to assemble the furniture you get from Habitat. They were meant to get in touch with and we would discuss the time and date. They never called me. I had to call Habitat every day for 5 days straight because I could not liaise directly with the assembling company.
I was so frustrated because all the bits and bobs were taking up so much space in my room. I finally got a date and had to harass Habitat to get a time. It took 13 days for them to get the job done.
Habitat, get a more efficient service provider to assemble your furniture. Seriously!

Having the luck of staying close by on Finchley Rd, we passed by the O2 Centre every day. We did of course enter Habitat every day to look at the great home décor and furnishings. Unfortunately we can’t bring funishings back with us, but we did however find great articles for around the house.
Why would we travel with these items from the UK to the USA? Well, they were beautiful and get this, even with the dollar to pound conversion … cheaper than we can get here. It is true! Pretty and not pricey. I love it!

Lovely shop filled with lots of home stuff… It is fairly pricy but they have a big choice. The shop is well organised and spacious with friendly helpful staff.
Will definitely visit again and again…

Habitat in Finchley Road used to occupy a space next to Waitrose, however it has now relocated to new premises up the road where Pizza Hut used to be in the O2 Centre. I have to say that the new store is much better. There is much more space and the number of products has doubled. There is even a better upstairs section, which they managed to squeeze in due to the very high ceiling. I also found the staff to be very helpful when I was picking out gifts for a friends new house. The staff seemed to be quite creative and in touch with interior design! However this is no Ikea, and the prices are fairly expensive.
