H2 Bike Run

The perfect place if you cycle or run to work and your office is in Soho. You can leave your bike here, rent a locker and take a shower. Everything is clean and the staff is really friendly. It’s one of those places that will make you think «why has nobody thought of this before»
They also have a few extras such as spinning classes, a small workout area and a few classes. I do definitely thing of those as extras, especially the gym area. It’s there if you need it, but I still pay for a regular gym that has much more stuff.
And lastly one nice benefit: they have cycle service, so if anything goes wrong, leave the bike with them and it will be fixed by the time you get back.

Had a free 2 day trial here, (just call up and ask if you can try it). I used the gym area, TRX, free weights and just got a feel for whats on offer. the 2^nd time I went I did the Endurance spinning class with Sarah who was amazing and got me hooked instantly!
Its not your usual gym with dozens of treadmills and fixed weight machines. Its quite small compared to most gyms but they have recently (last weekend) expanded to add an extra room on the side for the clasess and to keep the gym seperate.
This gym has an amazing range of services available, lots of fitness classes, spinning classes etc see the website for the full range. You can also leave your bike here in the bike storage so it makes it ideal for commuting. The staff are super friendly. I’ve signed up for the full package and am super excited for my new years fitness plan!
There’s no contract too which is great! Free towel on entry.

I got a Groupon for a few free spin classes here to kick start my very-​late summer fitness régime. I thought it would be worth it but I had no real intention of joining a gym.
Four weeks later and I’m a fully paid up member.
The spin classes are absolutely fantastic. They’ve had a few teething problems with the RPM monitors on the bikes but they appear to be fixed now. Not all the bikes have monitors but to be honest, you don’t need them really as the rhythm element is instinctive, but if you have a heart rate monitor they will pick up the feed. All the instructors I’ve had classes with have been good — and all different, which helps when doing the same sort of class over and over. They are HARD WORK but great fun.
The changing areas are clean, well laid out and, crucially, big enough for the number of people that use them! Shocking how many gyms get this wrong and you find yourself bumping elbows. Showers have shampoo and conditioner, hairdryers aplenty and a couple of sets of GHDs too.
The staff have been helpful in sorting out a couple of blips I had with my membership card. All in all, I’m sort of addicted to this place. They have added more classes so there are two spin sessions per evening now, though I have to point out you really do have to book up early — and show up! They now charge if you miss a class with no notice.
The place also does bike servicing and repair, and sells bike-​related equipment. The attached gym is quite small and doesn’t really have cardio equipment, but they do various memberships from just using the changing facilities to all-​in with unlimited spin classes.
Try it out, especially if you’re looking for a regular exercise class that DEFINITELY burns calories!

I am a real junkie when it comes to trying out different work out places (a.k.a. gym whore) especially when you get a really amazing introductory offers on groupon/​livingsocial. This place offers a lot of services but I can only comment on the spin classes and facilities. I read somewhere it’s inspired by places in NY like Flywheel sports but not quite the same.
Spin class — really good — definitely worked up a good workout.
Facilities — Really can’t get any better than this. Shower/​locker area — so clean! This place earned a full 5 stars from me because at each hair dryer station… there is a ghd hair straightener… I really can’t ask for anything more… Only thing about the colour scheme — you do feel like you’re in an easyHotel or flight because of all the orange and white but nonetheless amazing.
Staff — Super nice and friendly felt really welcome.
After my introductory offer is up — I’d pay full price to go regularly. Only wished there were more classes offered.
