Gurbet Supermarket

This is a brilliant little supermarket (we call it the ‘magic shop’) that’s been a godsend since we moved in to the area. The big supermarkets at Harringay and Stamford Hill are a bit of a trek, so it’s great to have a place like this, which is well stocked and does not charge above the odds.
As well as all the usual groceries, sweets and newspapers, Gurbet’s sells a wide range of fresh fruit and veg to rival Green Lanes, so if you’re cooking and suddenly need an extra ingredient, it generally won’t let you down. It also sells freshly-​baked Turkish style flatbreads, still warm from the oven for a few pence! Great for a quick meal.
Best of all though, the staff are friendly and welcoming, which I have to say makes a pleasant change on 7SR!
