GS Airport Cars

Stay away! Sam’s Cars right next door are just as cheap, and there are plenty of other options in Stoke Newington!
We recently missed our flight to Spain due to GS Cars sending us an «independent» driver (i.e. a random man with a car). Unfortunately this driver’s car had an engine problem, which he was perfectly aware of, and he also ignored our request to call a backup cab until it was way too late. This whole issue was not an accident but completely avoidable. On top of this the driver still demanded payment, which we stupidly handed over since we were in a bit of a rush after arriving at the airport an hour late and a couple of minutes before the gate was supposed to close.
As a result we had to book new flights, and we had to pay for a night at our hotel which we couldn’t cancel at such short notice.
Any request for compensation for the damages has been completely ignored by the owner, though to be fair they did pick us up from the airport for free and took us back the next morning, leaving us exactly where we were supposed to be the day before, but having spent a day in cabs and rushing for last minute flights rather than on holiday.
I want to make clear that this does not in any way go against the controllers or usual drivers at GS, but only against the owner and his policies. I had used the company for over a decade with no problem (I won’t any more), but the few pounds I saved are absolutely not worth the damage they can cause and will refuse to compensate you for if anything goes wrong.

A great little taxi firm on Stoke Newington High Street. I have used their services twice now and both times the service was fast prompt and accurate.
They have been a godsend while going home from friends who insist on living where I cant get a direct bus home from! They have a huge board clearly displaying prices and they don’t charge you double for deciding to go home home late.
Perhaps the last point is the most important of the review, though that says more about the minicab industry than the quality of the service.
I have never tried their airport service and their website is hopeless which almost made me give them 3 stars but i kept it at 4 as they always delivered a great service.
Another good taxi service, use them!
