I would agree with diners who say that this Indian restaurant in Hammersmith is a bit overpriced, considering the location, but the food is very well done and comes in portions more than a little filling. Going as a group of 3, we ordered poppadoms, one mixed grill starter to share, one curry and bread each and 2 rice for the table. And we started to struggled after the starter. The food was very tasty and well-spiced, if a little too hot for some tastes(even with a helpful chili rating in the menu). The restaurant itself was clean and welcoming, and the staff very polite and attentive. Overall, a very nice experience.

Green Chilli is quite an attractive restaurant inside — all white table clothes and updated décor(all reflected in the prices by the way!) We were the only diners at lunch today. Not a total surprise as I suspect most of its custom is at night for dinner. The service, as it should be I guess when we’re the only diners, was efficient and friendly without being intrusive. For food we decided to go with the chef recommendation of the chilli paneer(marinated cottage cheese chunks in a sweet chilli sauce with some onions, red and green peppers) as a starter and three curries: lamb korma, butter chicken and gosht chicken for our mains. All were excellent and tasty. Very high quality food we thought. Portion-wise the starter was a very generous size. The curries were a little less generous and were served in quite small, though deep bowls. Having said that each curry came with a number of good-sized chunks of meat. Along with our naan and shared rice dish we were suitably stuffed at the end of our meal. Price-wise the food is quite over-priced for Indian food but with the 40% discount from toptable on food offers reasonable value for money. If you want to have some excellent Indian food don’t overlook Green Chilli in Hammersmith — it may surprise you.

Really good food in this restaurant. The service sometime a tad shoddy but north indian dishes are decent.

Me and my family have been to this fantastic Indian on several occasions and may I say we have NEVER been let down by any part of the experience. The staff are lovely and really go out of their way to make you feel special, the food is fantastically good and the price is reasonable to say the least. I will look forward to visiting this establishment again and again! ps — the freshly made custom nans are to die for! Thankyou

Hammersmith is the hot-bed of casual dining as it has numerous restaurants, cafes, bars and eatries. The new Green Chilli restaurant where I ate very recently aims to bring some authencity to a brand new version of home-style Punjabi cooking. There is an engaging array of starters all very carefull prepared. The deep fried mushrooms with the stuffing of fruit jam are delectable, followed by the seekh kebabs patties wth a subtle blend of seasonings and spices accompanied by a duxelle of eggs. Charcoal cooked chicken on the bone is delicous served with a thick clingy tomato sauce, mopped up with some pilau rice and naan bread. Drinks and a well sourced wine list makes the whole experience complete.
