I attended this pub for a film screening and spy game event. I didn’t spend any time in the main pub area but the cinema in the basement was a surprise. Quite a sizeable auditorium that maybe fit 30 or so people. The screen size is pretty impressive for a small room. However the let down is the seating, I think the owners took shabby chic chairs a bit too far as some of the seats were so damaged we couldn’t sit on them. But I’m sure the owners can sort this out. I’d definitely come back for movie events it’s a cool place to watch films and eat the delights from the kitchen including corn dogs and lambs balls! Upstairs in the library was where the spy game was held run by Agent November. Pretty fun ‘who done it’ game. If they hold any more decent film events I’ll be down in a flash, a good excuse to check out the rest of the pub.

Awesome little gem that has so much to offer! Gorgeous décor, a boutique cinema and a gorgeous Library room! Really friendly staff, lovely food and right next to the station. It really is an amazing venue in Tooting and I will be returning!

The atmosphere of the Gorringe Park has got me wishing it was a whole lot closer to home! We took part in a private event here but the corn dogs were amazing, the staff ever so helpful and Ellie is a total dream!

Fantastic pub and lovely, friendly staff. I had the house wine which was great, but didn’t actually try anything from the menu. I did however see a film in the downstairs mini-cinema room. Definitely worth coming to this pub for that alone. The only bad point was that i was sat behind a very tall gentleman and struggled to see the screen. But I hardly think they can be held responsible for that! I hear they run some quite interesting events as well(Pilates, yoga or life drawing anyone?)

I love a pub with surprises. And this pub is full of surprises. Now, to begin, it’s just a nice pub. Large and welcoming and even when it’s packed it doesn’t feel too crowded. They have board games hanging around and a nice selection of drinks. They also do corn dogs for no real reason and that makes my heart happy. Also they sell Joe and Seph’s popcorn. Ugh, so good. But why this place gets five stars is the little bits of fun. From the weird artwork on the walls to the beautiful rooms upstairs to the movie theatre downstairs(yes, it’s a pub with a movie theatre in the basement), there just seems to be new things to discover all the times. It’s so so so so so far southwest that it will never be my local. But dammit, when I do my the journey, I am happy.

Small, quaint, cosy, chilled out pub with that independent pub vibe — friendly service, fresh pastries, free movie screenings every night at 8pm, free Wi-Fi, nice consice menu, boardgames available like Scrabble and Jenga, etc. They also do Sunday roasts. During my visit there tonight, I shared the pork belly main dish with a friend and it was delicious and we were both full! So, generous portions. Plus! They have both, Guinness and London Stout on tap. A great spot to go read your book, get some work done, hang out with a friend for dinner or drinks or grab a coffee and a bite to eat. My kinda spot. :) Will def go back there.

I was exceedingly pleased by yesterday’s trip to the Gorringe Park pub. It opened very recently in early December, and one of the places I’ve passed on the bus and have been ‘meaning’ to go to. The appearance is lovely: the outside beautifully painted and designed with some nice outdoor seating that will be pleasant in summer. The interior was clearly designed by someone with a great hand: every detail was lovely and created a warm yet stylish atmosphere. The bloke loved the handpulled Directors in a beer mug — the first time he’s seen one of his favourite beers on draft. The wine menu was plentiful and a ‘medium’ serving was available which is perfect for me as I usually find a ‘small’ too small and a ‘large’ too much(ahh life’s challenges!). They are definitely aiming for a ‘foodie’ pub rather than several-pints-and-pass-out joint, and from what I saw they are doing it very well. It was Sunday so they only had Sunday roasts and a selection of starters and desserts on.(There were no clues as their regular menu choices) So(somewhat inspired by the amazing pork sandwich we had at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland the previous week) we went for the ‘Roastie bap’ option, which the lady behind the bar said was a ‘roast dinner in a bap’. Which wasn’t too far from the truth: it came stuffed with a huge amount of roast pork, crackling and apple sauce; with a lovely surprise of a side dish of roast potatoes and pot of gravy. Oh and was a steal at £5.50 each! I think our trip was a start of a budding relationship with the Gorringe Park pub — which has many nuances and events, such as the small ‘cinema’ downstairs(yesterday they were screening the Grinch and This is Spinal Tap) serving gourmet popcorn. My advice to management: get a website up with menu, film screening schedule, directions and contact details. We only ‘found’ you because I passed on the bus and there currently is zero online presence!

Lovely old fashioned Young’s pub near Tooting station. A lot of pubs used to look like this, but these days you don’t see enough of this kind of pub. If you are an expert on pub interiors then there is a different kind of paneling in the back room and the front room of the bar. make sure you go and have a look at the back bar. It is cosier and looks nicer than the front bar. Back bar also features pictures of Prince Charles and the Queen Mother getting the beers in. There is a garden too apparently. Young’s beers were good if predictable, service was friendly and the solitary sports television didn’t seem to interfere much
