Dennis was amazing. Visiting from Los Angeles getting my hair cut was a huge deal but trusting someone with my hair was a bigger deal. Dennis at first was shy and didn’t speak much. While we made small chit chat about politics when he saw that I also did«the part» in my hair as he had with his I can tell he got excited that someone else did the same thing. Dennis was extremely friendly, charming and funny! I wanted a massage while I was in London but the way Dennis took care of me with a facial wrap and cleaning my small ear hairs with a Turkish fire method I felt pampered! Thanks Dennis and Golden Scissors you were great!!! Scott Boardman

Went to this place to get a shave and the back and size trimmed. I clearly explained that I did not want to get the top of my hair cut as I do not trust them to do to much work on my hair. The guy not only trimmed the top of my hair but also used thinning scissors, which is a tool that should be band as it makes hair look like it’s in bad condition by damaging the natural texture of the hair . I am a hairdresser with a lot of experience and I know very well what good quality work should be. I have learned my lesson not to trust this people, they sell the cheap deal and you get the cheap deal my advise to people is spend a bit more money and go somewhere where you get a good haircut by someone that is willing to listen to what you are saying to them, that have a good level of understanding hair and style and use good quality hair products . In my opinion cheap is not a good excuse to deliver bad work as they only work on man hair all day, they should be masters by now and they should know in and out about details and how to make it good. The shave was ok just wish he did not put that cheap and burning face mask on without asking me first.

I love getting a shave… it’s like the manly version of going to a day spa. And while Golden Scissors might not look like your typical day spa, I found coming here tremendously relaxing: when I arrived there were already a few people waiting their turn and so I sat down in one oft he sofas. Right away a young lad approached me and offered my çay and some Turkish delight — which made me feel at ease right away. While I was waiting I watched the barbers clipping away with their«golden» scissors, wrapping hot & steamy towels around the faces of clients, applying generous amounts of shaving foam and blow drying hair into shape. It is truly a fun sight and although I had brought a book to kill the waiting time, I was properly entertained by the business around me. When it was my turn I told the barber that I wanted a shave and then I was able to sit down and relax. The steamy towel was engulfing my head and then I could feel the shaving brush lathering up my face with the uniquely scented foam. All the while I had my eyes closed and simply enjoyed the procedure.(I’ve long abolished the thoughts that the barber would try to cut my throat…) When it wars all done(one shave, one follow-up shave and another hot towel wrapped around my face), the barber took his scissors and adjusted my side burns and trimmed my nose. Then he applied the lemon-cologne that I so highly associate with Turkish barbers and afterwards massaged some lotion onto my skin… Thumbs up!
