History

Established in 2009.

Giannasso Hair and Beauty salon was established in 2009 by owner Sergio Giannasso (known fondly as ‘The Hair Whisperer’ by some of his clients) following years of working alongside the very best in the hair and beauty industry both in the UK and in Italy.

Since then it has quickly grown to become one of the top hair salons in Covent Garden and is also one of a few awarded the much-​coveted L’Oreal Professional Colour Specialist certificate.

Our aim at Giannasso Hair & Beauty Salon aim is to not only make you look great, but to feel fabulous too: you will be pampered and cared for while enjoying our complimentary Italian-​style refreshments (our tiramisu and prosecco are a must!)

Our mission is to create one big happy Giannasso family where every customer walks in as a client and walks out as an integral part of this family.

Sergio G.

Business Owner

Sergio is the genius behind the salon as well as top stylist, colourist and make-​up artist. Well known in the hair and beauty industry for his flair and creativity, Sergio has styled many fashion shoots and shows from the catwalks of Paris and Milan, to London fashion week. His passion and genuine affection for his clients has led to a very loyal customer base, many of whom travel from far and wide to have their hair cut and styled by the man himself.

Sergio began his professional training in Foggia, southern Italy, aged 19. As an apprentice, his first five years were dedicated exclusively to mastering the blow-​dry. After that, he took up the scissors and progressed in a career that led him to London where he worked for Charles Worthington.

Sergio’s secret is combining Italian elegance with a London fashion twist. He produces beautiful hair to suit individual lifestyles. After a visit with Sergio you always come away feeling ready for whatever life may throw at you.
