I’ve been in here a few times. The mocha is absolutely on point, and the pastries have been excellent(although I wish they would put them under glass or cellophane instead of leaving them out in the open for customers to cough and sneeze on). Staff are charmless but do their jobs. It is really very pricey though.

Great selection of freshly baked cakes, cookies, and breakfast items. They have the baked goods laid out on open tables and you can just tell the staff your choice. I got the pistachio bun and it was really good. Their chai tea was also mixed just right. My only qualm is that none of the baked goods have their prices marked on them. I feel awkward having to ask and could be easily solved by some chalk boards. It would be better transparency if items were priced. I still like the vibe though so will probably return as I noticed they also had an assortment of lunch items that looked healthy. Displayed pricing would be good though!

This is one of a handful local coffee and dessert shops in the area. Displays are beautiful, service is good and friendly, and the pastries are delicious. Prices are a little high but it’s expected in a specialty shop like this. Located just across the Belsize Park Underground station.

I do like Gail’s a lot. There is good consistency in the product between stores, and one can’t help but love their decadent cinnamon buns. This particular Gail’s isn’t as nice of a space as others, but it is a convenient location, right near Belsize Park Station. It seems they mostly do takeaway, as they have a nice display in the front, and some seating in the back that isn’t as aesthetically pleasing(more corporate than their usual rustic-chic look). But given the number of babies and buggies, they probably did that on purpose!
