The Funktional Kitchens’ design service begins with an initial planning appointment in one of our showrooms. Your input into the design process starts right here at the beginning, where we discuss in detail your personal needs and tastes.

We will also give you an estimation of how much your project is likely to cost before arranging a site visit to your home. Once we have measurements, we create a Computer Aided Design of your new kitchen.

We can show you several alternate versions to help you decide and will provide a full breakdown of costs. Once ordered, your kitchen usually takes about six weeks until it is ready for installation.

History

Established in 2005.

Vicky Shudell and her husband, Mark, set up Funktional Kitchens in 2005 in Crouch End, North London. After a decade of experience as kitchen designers and fitters, they took the decision to set up on their own. Since then Funktional Kitchens has grown to include a second showroom in Islington and a talented team of designers.

We are proud to have built up an extensive client base of private individuals, Architects and Interior Designers. We have worked across the property spectrum, designing kitchens in substantial family homes and city loft apartments, have transformed dark basements into light, airy rooms and installed modern kitchens into converted farmhouses.

A few years on from going it alone, Funktional Kitchens now have clients coming back for second kitchens in new homes!
