Nice salon, was welcomed warmly. Just popped in for a quick blow dry as was heading out for dinner. I have exceptionally thick, wavy hair and wanted it straight for the evening. It did take the stylist a bit of time to do, slightly longer than I had anticipated, but I wasn’t really in a rush and enjoyed a complementary coffee. Clean salon, would go back.

When I first went to Frankie Cochrane my hair was badly damaged from the sun and the fact that I was using a cheap shampoo back then. I needed a haircut immediately. Paul provided me not only a great hairstyle which suits me best but also a helpful advice regarding the way to keep my hair in a good condition for a long time. The saloon is a bit pricey from my point of view but definitely well worth the money. I don’t usually go to the same salon twice, but I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair now.

Paul is my hairdresser, I have been coming monthly for a few months now. and this is great honest service with a laugh and if you are lucky a freshly baked croissant and a coffee. It’s a lovely little salon, and there is always time for a chat and a laugh.

This is the worst hairdresser EVER ! As I went there I had beautiful dark blond hair, I asked for red hair, he was first very nice with me and told me that wont be a problem. As I came back for my appointment, my first surprise was to see that it wasn’t the men who I talked with who was about to care of my hairs. Then two hairdresser cames and told me that he’s going to put on my hair first a very red colour and then a brown one, I didn’t really understood why they couldn’t just make me a red colour, but I trusted them when they said that it won’t work if I do not do it that way. Then the hairdresser who cares about my hair is gone to prepair my colour, but when he came back he told me that finally he wanted to put just one colour on my hair. Every one was so nice I was confident. As the colour was on my hair I was really surprise to see that it was really dark, I asked the hairdresser if it was a matter twice but twice he answered me that no… As he washed my hair he tolds me that he was all new here and he did’nt received any learning, and then, when I got in front of the mirror… My hair was all black !! He tolds me he was sure that in maybe two weeks it’s gonna be better… I got back to my house and cried and just washed my hair six times, but it was just becoming purple !! I got back to the salon two days after and asked them to fix it, and they gives my hair back to the same guy !! I was so upset I didn’t said anything not to be rude, but he bleached my hair and burned them badely(he has let the bleaching two hours on the back !!) and then he made two other red colours ! Of course it didn’t work because my hairs was to broken ! Now I have brown, red, dark, blond and even orange hairs ! It’s the worst desaster I’ve ever seen !! Then he just appologise for his mistake ! Now I’m really afraid of becoming bowl and I can’t even touch my hair for at least 6 months. He also don’t want to give me my money back and the salon just answer me that they are ready to defend themselves by saying that I asked for dark hair. They don’t even reconise them fault !! And I had to spend more than 200 £ in cares and in an other hairdresser who cutted this. Well if you go there just prepare you to the worst and if you have a problem, the only answer he will probably gives you is the same as they gave me: «As a salon owner with over twenty years of hairdressing experience».

I visited on a weekday afternoon, so the salon wasn’t busy. The colourist greeted me cheerfully and asked the assistant to get me started. He robed me up and offered me a beverage. I accepted a coffee and found the café americano I received of enjoyable quality. The colourist then came for a consult, and I discussed my hair history with her(years of dying it black myself with only a recent salon-quality lightener to lift the colour to brown), and we decided on a semi-permanent colour. The service itself took about as much time as I would have expected, and the assistant gave me a relaxing shampoo. Both the colourist and assistant were chatty, although the overall vibe of the salon wasn’t particularly welcoming so I felt a bit awkward throughout the experience. Perhaps it was because it wasn’t bustling with business. Overall, the salon experience was pretty average and the price was par for central London; I had no immediate complaints after leaving, but I also had nothing particularly good to say about the salon. Nothing stood out as better than the rest. Unfortunately, the colour washed out after just one shampoo at home with products specially formulated for coloured hair. I didn’t bother going back.
