This is a small, privately owned framers. A friend of mine (who has had a lot of framing done here) recommended them.
In short, they are excellent framers, but they are more expensive than average. I had some photographs and cigarette cards framed, and one of the cards needed to be reproduced and dyed to match the others. They were very helpful throughout the process, and advised me on the options (you’ll have grasped by now this wasn’t your average framing job).
They did all that (mounting the original on the rear) and mounted it on acid-​free mounts with museum quality glass. The finished result is superb, but it cost over £200.
So, excellent for special items which needed to be treated with care, whether valuable or of sentimental value.
