I was here a lot to kill time. Priced just like every other book store, but with a helpful staff. They sell postage!

It is the real bookshops where you can see many floors of books;it is truly the largest bookshop in the world. But anyways I love this book shop I really like this place. :)

Isobel and the team at Foyles Southbank have put together a compact but beautifully formed YA sectiion here, I’ve been haunting this store for years on my way in and out of Waterloo and it gets better and better. Apart from the YA, there’s a brilliant range of creative and arts titles, plus a gorgeous stationery selection(I’m a bit of a notebook addict) and deckchairs out front for basking in the sunshine.

Foyle’s. It’s a great, decent sized, well-laid-out bookshop on the Southbank. Staff favourites, variety, bestsellers and the off-the-beaten track books as well. Always a standards. Now, if they’d work out a deal with my alumni association, that’d be ideal.

Foyles is a great bookstore. I love the look and fee of the shop, it’s got something a little more«homely» and personable in comparison to the big chains like Waterstones, for example. I always fine the staff in here to be super friendly and they always know what they are talking about. I couldn’t fine David Lindsay’s «Journey to Arcturus» for example but one of their staff new this obscure book and recommended some really cool things for me to read instead. I love book shops in general but this one is really cool, a must for all literature nuts…

This is my local bookshop and I love it. I go all the time, even if I’m not looking for anything it’s good just to walk around. Unlike the super-bookshops on the Charing Cross and Tottenham Court roads, Foyles feels more personal, and it’s reflected in the service. The staff really know their stuff and yesterday when I purchased a book I got a «Have a lovely day» as I received my change, a rarely uttered phrase in the service industry outside of the United States. My favourite part about it is that the R.R.P printed on the back of all the books is what Foyles charge so you know you’re not being ripped off. Because this bookshop is so close to the Royal Festival Hall and The National Theatre, it has a particularly good selection of drama and theatre books, as well as travel guides, fiction, autobiographies, children’s books, reference books, stationary and coffee table books. My only complaint is that as a lover of travel guidebooks, I like them to be arranged so that they’re easy to find, and in this store they file the Australia and New Zealand books in the North and South America section. Apart from that, it’s well worth a visit.

I love Foyles bookshops as you always get a feeling that the people who work there have a genuine love for books. With late opening hours it usually draws me in when I’m wondering along the South Bank and the small-ish shop size makes me look more closely at the displays and inevitably part with cash
