I have never come across such an unnecessarily rude individual. The owner was aggressive and I actually felt quite threatened in his presence. I had planned to browse fabric but had to leave after a minute or so as he shouted about how he grew up in the area and didn’t even have to open the shop at all, because he is his own boss. This was all totally unprovoked and so I left confused and a bit shaken. Needless to say, I will never go back — owner obviously has some uncontrollable issues.

Really bad experience, owner was rude and aggressive and not to be trusted.
After loosing money and getting nothing but aggression and unprofessional behaviour I went to Kim Haddon at village blinds and she did an outstanding job. Have used her many times since. I recommend you stay well clear of fabric.

Incredibly unhelpful man runs this shop, he is open at weird times and comes and goes as he pleases. After several visits we have decided it’s better to travel a bit and find some place friendlier with better better selection. It’s s shame, it’s well placed and could be a great shop.

As the only fabric shop in Dulwich, Fabric does get quite a lot of business.
The shop is very small with little stock mainly consists of printed fabrics and the staff working there do not always seem to know much about their products.
The fabric that Fabric does sell is nice and good quality, so if they stock what you are looking for then it is not a bad shop.
I however, would much rather make a further trip to find a greater choice.
