I’ve been to a lot of Indian restaurants across the globe but this has to be the worst dining experience so far. The fact my energy was so low at the time was the only reason from not punching the waiter. The waiter present was either sexist or an idiot as he cut us off when making a query about the food menu with: «what drinks you want??» And then when he brought the wrong drink entirely he got notably angry when asked to change it: «we not got that, this is just the same!» It’s at that point it seemed that where he came from he feels he can talk to women how he likes and was angry at the impertinence of a woman questioning him. He then in mid conversation got distracted and went off. The food was incredibly stingy, nothing to write home about and way over priced for the small portions you get: The ginger ale was watered down so much it was like water. They have a small curry or an expensive main meal curry, whereas in other restaurants no such distinction is made(other places have just one size curry and it isn’t stingy). So their main curry is like the size of a small curry in other places. Very weak and not filling. And their Nans are tiny compared with other places(come to Japan and see how generous and welcoming some Indian restaurants are). Also there were no free poppadoms or any side dishes/condiments that are FREE in lots of Indian restaurants I’ve been to. Nor did we get any table napkins.(Because other places try to make the dining experience the best ever). Again, near the end of our meal the idiot waiter rudely butted in suddenly with: «the food is all ok, yes??» — I wanted to say: «no it isn’t you f**king idiot!» And then after all that they had the audacity of adding a service charge to the bill. Making the meal way over priced. For example, in comparison, in Petticoat lane you can get a delicious and filling 3 small curry mix rice dish with 2 condiments & drink to take away for £4.00!(That’s customer service for you!) In Euro Tandoori it’s £25! 5 times the price, while the curries are weak and small, and the drink is watered down. The only extra you get is that you can sit in their restaurant and have rude waiters talk to you. Conclusion: stingy, rude, sexist, unwelcoming, money grabbing. And I wanted to punch their idiot waiter. Luckily I won’t be back because next time I would’ve have energy to punch Rasheed in the face. I hope he gets the sack because business 101, you don’t piss off a customer like that unless you want to lose 10 more. And I think the fact that they name their restaurant after a EURO coin, sums them up very well.

Amazing food quality, as well as the attentive & gracious service! Also, I know it may not be an important trait to others, but for moi it’s so nice that the place actually smells good & has beautiful Indian music that isn’t too loud, just enjoyable. I recommend the uniquely & carefully prepared Ginger Chicken. On the menu it cautions that it could be «hot”/spicey, but I found it very pleasant. The rice has a few fennel seeds in it, or you can ask for it plain. Note: the dishes are made fresh, simply fresh! Delicious & dependable. I learned that the Owner’s Name is Mr. Shohid. The Chef remains nameless to me so far, but I will be eating here again before leave London for sure!

I really enjoyed this quick Indian food fix during my quick trip to London. I needed to stay in the Kings Cross area, a neighborhood I didn’t know well, and a colleague and I desperately needed a London Indian food fix. We looked to Unilocal, and got wonderful advice. This place was warm, with good service and, most importantly, our choices were delicious. The«house special» chicken curry and the Chili Garlic Lamb Masala(or some such thing) were really marvelous. Portions just the right size. Pappadums fresh and tasty with marvelous chutneys. And the price was right. Since I couldn’t get to Soho and my favorite spot, The Red Fort, this place was an acceptable substitute. I’m definitely a fan.

I tried the biryani here too and just like the restaurant next to it, the meat was so little and of poor quality. Not sure how they are still open. My guess is that they rely on their good location.

Okay, so first off, we looked this spot up on Unilocal beforehand. Judging by the other reviews, I felt like it was probably going to be fine — nothing special — owing to its proximity to King’s Cross and St. Pancras stations. And yes, generally, it was fine.(The group I was with is one with a considerable amount of experience eating Indian food, so we admittedly have some standards.) We shopped around at the other restaurants in the area but this was the last we came to — partially because we had picked it out beforehand but also because, as we sidled up to the menu to check prices /type of dishes, one of the servers came outside, said«You going to come in?» and insisted upon reading the menu(written in plain English) to us and explaining basic things like ‘do you know what a lime is?” and«vindaloo is spicy — probably too spicy for all of you.» Regardless of this quirk, we decided it looked good enough and the prices were fair, so we went in. The food was great. Better Indian food than a lot of what I’ve eaten. I would recommend this place for take-away /take-out. Only issue was that the beef was REALLY tough. Pretty low-quality stuff. However, where this place really suffered was with the service — walking away to seat someone else in the middle of taking our drink order, insisting upon large drinks when we wanted small ones(we talked them down to the smaller ones eventually), bringing us a beef dish that was supposed to be duck(though we didn’t even bother trying to correct this since it didn’t seem worth causing a fuss to the already confused waitstaff). And lastly, we asked for the check since it hadn’t been brought to us even 10 minutes after the table was cleared and we were given wash cloths.(Full disclosure: I’m not sure if this is a UK thing — having to ask for/wait a long time for the check — I’m from the US). Once we got the check, we paid in cash and stood up to leave. Immediately upon standing, one of the servers rushed over and quickly counted the cash(as if we were going to chew-and-screw) and told us «it’s okay guys.» Thanks bud. We know.

Just got takeaway since I usually stay at the St Pancras and like a change in the overpriced food at the hotel. Service was great. I got the 20 dollar sampler which came with about everything. The tikka was great as was the tandoori meats. Highly recommended.

When my roommate and I stumbled onto Euro Tandoori after we woke up too late for brunch with quite a hangover(see my Clink 78 Hostel review for details on how that could have happened!) we weren’t expecting anything more than lunch. The sign proclaims«air conditioning» and«fully licensed.» Whoa, dream big! Once we entered, though, we were pleasantly surprised. First off, the location near King’s Cross station is excellent. The inside is indeed cool and pleasant, with white tablecloths and nice glassware and televisions showing the World Cup. We were literally the only customers, and the staff was very helpful with deciding what to order. I went with the Chicken Tikka(£7.50) while my roommate ordered an impressive sampler platter with both meat and vegetarian dishes on a neatly partitioned plate. Our meals came out with naan and an impressive array of sauces, and our little table ended up overflowing with dishes! Everything was tasty and well-presented, and for the price it was a more than adequate amount of food. Hungover or no, Euro Tandoori is a good place to visit if you’re at or around King’s Cross station and in the mood to satisfy an Indian food fix.

J’y retournerais.
