I think I’m in two minds about this place. I like the idea of the«American diner» theme they got going on, but the food is just average. The burgers are cooked well and have a good flavour, but the chips are a bit meh. I really do not recommend the cheesy chips — I thought it would be chips with melted cheddar or something, but the chips are covered in a melted processed cheesy sauce thing(and it’s quite salty too). I do like their shakes however and the fact that they are served in the American style metal shake cups. Overall, I’d say this place is worth a visit purely for the novelty of the venue and the shakes.

Very convenient location — does very simple menu… Great to kill time between shopping but not a destination restaurant. Having said that, it is clean, friendly and does all American stable– great place to take a break.

Greasy Goodness… We were pleased when we stumbled into Ed’s… We were taken by surprise, and we liked it, we liked it alot. The little bustling restaurant definitely has plenty of atmosphere, we loved the Happy Days swinging 50s thing. The service staff were upbeat and good fun. It is a great place to take the kids or have a teenagers birthday party etc etc. But measured on the BURGETRON… Not great… The food was cooked and presented like a slightly(and I mean slightly) up market Fish and Chippy. Not expensive but not cheap. The coke floats we so eagerly ordered weren’t great either. A random hotdog glided past my eyes glossed in goo cheese and also sadly didn’t look overly appertising either. We were a bit disappointed that the food wasn’t very nice after being so excited initially, it was busy though so maybe on a quieter day the quality might be a little better. The menu was interesting and there were plenty of options including a choice of two Vege burger, cheesy fries, milk shakes, choc sundaes… all the usual Americana Diner things… It was loud and crowded so if you’re looking to chill… Best not go on the weekends… So in closing… go and have a look… take the kids… it’s no food destination but definitely fun… anyway… as Fonzi would say… Ayyyyyy!!!

Vaguely reminiscent of «Johny Rocket’s» in the USA. Decent burger, but tastes of Onion, perhaps minced into the meat. If you have onion allergies, beware. Chips are good. Would I go to it again? In a pinch, sure. But perhaps I won’t go out of my way for it.

The Location of this little diner is in a side street of the big shopping mile Oxford Street. So it’s perfect for a pit stop at a shopping day. Unfortunatelly you have a «nice» view at a house wall only. The interior is in proper style to a original diner. Unfotunatelly the mentioned taptopped Jukeboxes are only dummies. It’s a really small and tight restaurant. The service is friendly and we had a little chat. We ordered a burger and a hot dog variation as menu served with chips and a kind of farmer salad. The beef was ok but not as juicy as homemade, rosted onions ok, bun ok. It’s not the best diner burger but ok. The chips were delicious, the salad not the best. The hot dog was a little better. prices in the range of about 10 £ are ok for the portion and quality. My summary: better than McDonald’s but not good as expected.

I know I should stop eating fast food, but when there are places like this one, it is simply impossible. I like the food. It is delicious, always hot and juicy. And people are so positive!

NOTHING will do except an Ed’s Easy Diner BURGER! The freshness and quality cannot be beat by any of the other. The burgers taste as if they just came off your backyard grill! AND you can actually watch them make the fries from real, whole potatoes! The menu is limited for a reason., They KNOW a good burger!!! I used to drive up there, and it was always worth the drive.

Bestes American Fastfood Restaurant seit langem! Try it!

I’m a big fan of Ed’s Diner. Other than ‘The Diner’, it’s one of the few places in London where you feel like you are dining American-style — disgustingly oversized and greasily tasty. This is a great place to bop in for a quick lunch whilst shopping on Oxford Street, sit at the window and watch the world go by. I find that the staff are always really friendly and attentive which is nice when you just want to get in and out quickly. A word of advice — don’t over order! I have a big appetite and can rarely finish a shake, a portion of chips and a hot dog without help so be warned…

I like dim sum. And sushi(um, apart from the raw fish dishes…). I’ll even put up with the occasional overpriced coffee shop sandwich for lunch. But sometimes, you need a big fat burger and cheese drenched chips. The kind that don’t come in a paper bag. The kind that’s unashamedly fatty. Which is where Ed’s Easy Diner comes in. I was introduced to the diner when the lovely TeenyTinyLeanne took me along for lunch. Walking into Ed’s Easy Diner, located just round the corner from Bond Street station, is a bit like stepping back in time fifty years. It’s kitted out to look like a retro diner, complete with booths, a sit up bar and tabletop jukeboxes. All restaurants should come with tabletop jukeboxes. The food is as expected, tasty burgers, hot dogs, chips and sharing platters. Prices are fairly decent, around the same prices as places like GBK, at around £11−12 a meal. The food was nice enough, but you’re probably paying more for the atmosphere here than you are for a top notch delicacy. I’ll definitely go again, particularly to try the milkshakes I’ve heard so much of.
