Unilocalers, thanks for the hot(desk + coffee) tip. I needed a comfortable place to set up shop(work) for 2 hours this morning near Brick Lane, and a quick search led me to Doppio Coffee Warehouse. *PERFECT for working/studying. *They play nice, smooth music(jazz?). It’s subdued, yet maintains a productive vibe. *Free wifi, with signs with passwords posted obviously(no awkward begging for access). *Very nice coffee! I tried both the flat white and a macchiato, the macchiato won out — nice. *That macchiato? Less than £2. YES, you read right! *Selection of sweet treats/pastries. *NICE staff — real service. No hipster scowls to be seen.(employees, anyway!) It’s a «warehouse» too — they roast and sell wholesale, as well as major(and even minor!) coffee making equipment. I’m pretty sure if you have a coffee making need, this place would solve it 240x over. Bzzzzzzz! Word on the street is they also do barista training… I kind of want to just do that myself to learn how to better steam my milk at home! Might be a 2016 resolution now that I’ve got the inside tip on where to learn. I shall return, it’s *just* far enough from Brick Lane that it isn’t chaotic or overwhelming. Doppio is a calm in the storm. That will serve you coffee. Yay.

Superb. There are plenty of tables for your laptop, the drinks are fantastic(very solid macchiato and a good latte, too), and the owners are kind and helpful.

Perfect coffee, great service and a very chilled-out place to work. They also sold me some excellent grounds for home use and were incredibly friendly.

Currently writing and researching in this light and open space, feeling no pressure to leave any time soon. I wrote my dissertation in a coffee shop. I applied to a masters programme in a coffee shop. Hell, I just work best in coffee shops. Now I live in London, I had to find the best places to work peacefully without disturbance. Doppio coffee is run by really friendly people. They are Italian, they make damn good coffee and provide simple pastries. Coffee is also available to buy and take home, as are a whole host of contraptions for making your perfect coffee. There is wifi and ample seating in a pretty cool space. Everyone has a laptop and the soya cappuccino is pretty decent. Pastries run out quickly, get there fast. Got my loyal card, will be back.

Absolutely awesome. Seriously, one of the best coffee shops I’ve visited. Why? Because I couldn’t fault it in any way what so ever. Great coffee — check — probably the smoothest flat white I’ve ever had in London Great value — check(price/quality ratio insanely good) Great service — check Great pastries — check(try the mini croissants packed full of Nutella) Great ambience — check — very cozy Free wifi — check Lots of seating AND comfortable — check Great crowd — check It’s also a showroom for coffee machines that they sell and rent out and it’s great having a walk around. A lot of them are vintage and look very cool. Seriously, really great place

Freaking fantastic, I love this place. Seriously great coffee(the best I’ve had in London), great baked goods, lots of seating, perfect café music(jazz/classical). Friendly and efficient staff, too. My ideal place to pop in with a book and down a few lattes on a rainy(or chilly) day. No longer live nearby but I will always make time to pop in when near Brick Lane and Spitalfields.

The UK doesn’t do summer well, but this open plan, well ventilated coffee warehouse ticks all my boxes. The mix and match chairs and tables, surrounded by lifestyle books, cooking and coffee paraphernalia add to its quirky and electric image. It is also very serious about all things coffee. There are state of the art commercial coffee machines on display. It offers new and secondhand equipment for rent/lease, barista training and merchandise. Great to relax and flick through some books while sipping on some good coffee made from passionate baristas. The jazz music is a extra bonus.

We stopped in here for a quick coffee and the guys behind the counter were great — they even helped us look up the address of a place we were headed later. The space was pleasant, well-lit, lots of room. Prices were extremely reasonable and my flat white was good. I would definitely come back here to work sometime. Not what you expect just a block off the Brick Lane high street! Totally worth checking out.

Walked by on my way home yesterday and decided to try it today. This is a great place to study and relax! The background noise was perfect, conversations weren’t loud at all and the music was lovely so I was able to work efficiently. It’s also pretty spacious with some nice tables. I tried their flat white and it was pretty good though the cup’s handle made it a bit difficult to hold. Overall the atmosphere is just wonderful and the coffee is good so I’ll definitely be coming back.

This is the best single espresso in the whole London, and I mean it! Don’t be fooled by those charging you £2.00 or more for what is, in fact, an acidic or burned espresso. Here, for £1.40 you can have an espresso the way it should taste: the way it tastes in Italy. I’m Italian and a coffee freak, so believe me!
