AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS — Unfortunately I had to give 1 star as cannot leave a review otherwise, this company are deliberately leaving items on their website they know they do not have, therefore getting your money and holding onto it, the refund to paypal was actioned but it will be at least a week before the money goes back into my bank account I believe they only actioned the paypal refund when they did as I threatened them with trading standards and paypal, I have reported them to both anyway as they are clearly deliberately doing this to people. They have not answered my e-​mails in their 48 hr timeline as per their own t&c’s. They have not answered them (2) at all so far!
They by law do have 30 days to refund your money even when they have not been able to provide the item, so effectively they are borrowing your money for 30 days. They are curt on the phone with no manners whatsoever they had a ‘we will refund you when we are good and ready attitude’. In the e-​mail telling me they could not supply the item they did not even thank me for my business it said.
Hi You ordered Worko DIY Centre very sorry this item is not available so your order will be cancelled and your money refunded back to you via paypal
Not even thanking me for ordering with them, they treat you with contempt quite frankly, I hope that if enough of us complain to trading standards and paypal they will deal with them accordingly.
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE RUDE AND IGNORANT PEOPLE.
What else can you call a company that knows an item is not available but makes no attempt to remove it from their website? Then when you call to ask why the refund was not actioned at the same time as the e-​mail notification get a curt reply.
There are too many others making the same complaint about this company for it to be untrue!

Ordered a toy for my baby’s Christmas present around 20^th of December and it has not yet delivered (it’s 22^nd Jan). I emailed them more than 3 times and they’ve never replied. The only thing they did was to charge to my credit card without shipment. This company is insane. The worst online retailer ever.

If you have already read the other reviews for D2, then prepare for déjà vu!
Ordered PC online. Next day had an email to say it wasn’t in stock. Day after money was taken from my account anyway.
I was promised a refund that never came. Four emails went unanswered. One phone call and another promise of a refund. Still nothing.
Finally opened a dispute in Paypal. Refund made straight away, but still no communication. No apology.
My advice avoid this company like the plague. As consumers we shouldn’t encourage this kind of behavior.
You may not believe me (and the many other reviews here). If you go ahead and order from them anyway, then make sure you use Paypal. When they email you to say the item is not in stock (and they will!), open a dispute immediately. Then post your experiences here.

The service and communication I received from this company was unfriendly and unprofessional.
I was desperate for a certain discontinued item which I could not find anywhere else; D2 Leisure Group’s website was the only site which was showing this item as in stock. In fact, the item was not in stock, but they proceeded to take the money from me anyway. This is apparently their policy as stated in their Terms and Conditions as follows: —
Once your payment details have been processed, you will be contacted via email with delivery confirmation when your goods have been dispatched, normally within ²⁴⁄₄₈ hours. If any items are NOT IN STOCK you will be notified at this time of the expected delivery date of your goods, where you then have the option to cancel your order.
In other words, they take your money first and then check the stock.
Although not best practice, this I would have been OK with as I had received an e-​mail from them saying that the item was out of stock and that they would refund, however the communications I received from them were either curt or downright rude and I had to chase them twice and open a PalPal dispute before a refund was given. It seems that they are quick to take the money from you but not give it back.
If you do place an order with them I only suggest that you read all the reviews so that you are aware of potential problems and pay via PayPal.

Very similar to the other reviewers. I had the bad experience to order from them and I disappointed my child for a Christmas gift. Still waiting for my refund.

I wish I had had the foresight to do a review search before ordering from this company and I might have thought twice. Their policy is to remove the money from your account prior to doing a stock check, and like previous reviewer I had to contact them to discover item not in stock and to request refund

Correct me if I’m wrong but having perma SALE! signs perma pasted to the windows ain’t gonna get the crowds rushing in. The impact kinda wears off once the sigs begin to fade right? But perhaps Daycocks is hoping to cash in on some reverse, backwards, cash crop mentality (or something) and get the tills ringing. I have had the pleasure of needing to venture into this shop just once and got the impression that this is somewhat of a neglected place, fine for having your tyres changed and chain oiled but now that we’ve all gone single speed mad I can’t help but think that this shop has lost it’s market all together. Having said that I think it important to retain a few places that the very thought of doesn’t intimidate the hell out of you. Verdict– not sure but surely would be sad if they were to close. Perhaps their Stoke Newington sister shop is doing a little better.
