I support local businesses in Greenwich including the butchers and the cheese shop next door. Unfortunately, I find the staff/owner in The Creaky Shed to be very rude. No matter how many times I have been back, the owner makes rude and patronising comments. I felt stupid when I left. The fruit used to be better quality, I suspect they don’t sell enough and you can see some of their fruit going off /is old(e.g. soft oranges, mouldy mandarins) I know he’s lost a lot of local customer because of his attitude. Please read this review and treat any new customers(not me because I won’t come back) with respect.

These guys who own this place are great. Very nice and welcoming little green grocer they have a variety of fruit and veg. They have a small organic section as well, but all the fruit and veg are very fresh and nice looking. The tomatoes there are some of the best I’ve ever had. They also sell eggs and few specialty dressings and jams. It’s all very convenient — there’s a butcher next door, a cheese shop a couple doors down and then a fishmonger around the corner. I frequently stop here on the weekends.

The Creaky Shed is the perfect fruit and vegetable shop. Why aren’t there more places like this in London? Owned by two of the most helpful and friendly grocers in London– Adrian and Jason– the shop sells high quality fresh fruit and vegetables on a seasonal basis. Everything is beautifully arranged– the presentation is immaculate, especially at Halloween and Christmas. My friends who live locally, will now not shop anywhere else. They even arrange weekly vegetable and fruit boxes through them. Last Summer I asked them to put together a small fruit platter for me– I only had 20 pounds– and they delivered the most enourmous, extravagant platter that few 20 people. I was so impressed– they put in beautiful apples, strawberries, pears, mango and melon– a lot of the money. They also stock an amazing selection of pickles, preserves and Chegworth Valley apple juices.

This shop in Royal Hill is one of a few along here that make this hundred yards a grocery shopping mecca. The Creaky Shed has the most excellent produce you can imagine. Displayed attractively you want to take it all home. They also have a most welcome tea garden where you can enjoy some of their cakes and contemplate the world(you will be a little cramped, though). Just next door to this are where you can find equal quality meat, fish, bread, cheese. Divine
