It’s a great place for small gatherings. Candle lit dinner initimte environment. I came here on a wed evening and it was packed. Nearly all the tables were full. Originally the waitresses had advised it is full but one of them said she will check with the manager. To my luck the manager allowed me in and seated me at a small table close to the bar. The service here is slow but all the staff is very friendly and reapectful which I appreciate. The manager herself showed me the menu and advised of the specials. I ordered a steak tartare(£6.75) and a grilled lamb(£13.95) and lemon sorbet for dessert. It was slow service to get their attention to order. The steak tartare for me personally was very new so I did not like it too much but I think it’s just personal preference. The lamb was cooked very well, exactly as asked medium well. It came on a blanket of peas. It was a great portion I felt pretty full from it. They quickly gave me a menu for dessert. The lemon sorbet was excellent I don’t know if they make it in house but it was so refreshing and sour which I loved. The price for it was very good too — only £1.95 for a scoop! The wait between the courses was very long to me since I sat alone it felt even longer. I went at 8:30 and left at 10pm. When I left more than 1 waitor had greeted me goodbye which is great service! I will definitely come back again and possibly try their lunch menu.

Je me suis régalée d’oeufs brouillés, bacon, saucisse, tomates, toasts et champignons.

Cost and tasty. Searched on Unilocal for a good place in this neighborhood and am not disappointed. Also great if you’re alone: they have red papers and such and plenty others come here alone. Small portion enough for the small hunger– but I recommend more in case you are really hungry.

We wandered in searching for a casual and reasonably priced dinner. I was overjoyed to be seated immediately in a comfortable booth(it was 8pm on a Wednesday, by the time we left it was packed), my chicken was a tiny bit tough but not a big deal(very nice mushroom sauce) steak frites slightly over cooked as well, again not a huge deal, both were very(for London especially) well priced. Small side of buttered carrots. I was thrilled with the cold filtered water. Decent crème caramel for dessert. The French lady next to me ordered the same steak frites and complained that the steak wasn’t big enough(they have larger steaks on the menu but she has specifically ordered the same one we had) and the server and manager were SO nice to her. They brought her out another one after leaving her the original so she could eat with her companion. When her second(free) steak frites came out she gave half to her companion. :/ I was really impressed with the lovely service.

A solid spot overall. Nice ambiance, friendly service, good food, good value for money. I wouldn’t call it high cuisine but it’s certainly well made and adequately portioned. A good go-to meal I would say.

We live in the neighborhood and recently paid our second visit to Cote. Our first visit was a four-star experience, with very nice food(I recommend the seabass). The menu is reasonably priced, and they have a nice and diverse wine list. Unfortunately, our second visit was a two-star experience. We stopped in for dinner around 7PM on a Wednesday night. It wasn’t terribly busy, so service was attentive at first. We ordered the calamari as a starter, which was delicious — highly recommended. This time I ordered the cod goujons, which was really fish and chips. They arrived terribly overcooked, the breading was bland, and I suspect they were originally frozen. The dipping sauce was also bland and uninteresting. On the plus side, the chips were very good, and my husband said his lamb dish was delicious. My husband ordered his second glass of wine when the food was delivered. At the same time, the restaurant got very busy and the waitstaff seemed to disappear to the back. After 15+ minutes of attempting to flag someone down to find out where the glass of wine was, we managed to get someone’s attention and decided to cancel the glass of wine. It took another 10 minutes to get our bill. Finally, we were able to speak with the manager. She apologized profusely for the poor service and comped us for the overcooked cod dish. Although our second visit went terribly sideways, management made up for it at the end and we’re willing to give it another try.

Delicious food and, finally, truly great service. Highly recommended for breakfast and the remainder of the menu looks delicious. Not cramped, pleasant vibe and atmosphere.

My wife and I love this place. It is always a default — they know us and always have open tables available. The menu is outstanding. It would be nice if they included a burger but steak tartare is excellent. Great starters, mains and desserts at very reasonable prices(for London). Can’t go wrong with Côte.

Very surprised this is a chain restaurant. Very good for a chain. Great deals: dine early(before 7pm) on weekdays and get two courses for ~10GBP! I think it’s a steal. I really liked the asparagus soup and roasted half chick with potatoes gratin & veggies. In general this place is very reasonably priced for what you get. Desserts were yummy– I had the crêpe with strawberries!

A great coffee and pretty good food. Scrambled eggs with salmon was perfection. Bacon baguette a bit ordinary.

Great mid-afternoon Bstro. Went here two days in a row. Had the risotto, Niçoise salad, green salad, green beans and char over two meals– all but char were delicious. Lovely service from mostly non-rude French staff.

I stumbled upon this place after arriving to the city in the afternoon when most places seem to be closed. I noticed the two course meal for just under 10 pounds, and it was worth so much more. I was able to strike up conversations with people sitting nearby, which was a treat as much as the food was. The waitstaff was very attentive, unlike the service I experienced in other European restaurants.

Sunday brunch; the perfect hangover cure especially when followed with a mimosa. Great food, good prices and a great atmosphere for brunch as a couple or with a group.

This is my favorite Cote location in London. Not just because it is around the corner from my flat, but just for being much more comfortable than most Cotes. It is rarely busy, so you can take a larger table and set up your computer and get some work done. Often come for a mid-morning breakfast or the set-menu for lunch! Breakfast is good value for money. The set-menu for lunch changes often, and there is also a regular menu that you can order off as well. Great chain, can’t really go wrong. But, this is my favorite!

Wandered around for a hour and finally found a decent place to eat and walked in here. The hostess and waiter was so nice and attentive at the cute little french place. The owner even provided us with the WIFI password when he saw using our phones. We were given distilled water in a small jug. I ordered the smoked salmon as a starters and the steak frites special as the main course. The smoked salmon was very salty. And the steak portion was very salty also. I did like the fries which was provided with ketchup. But I woshed the portion for salad was a bit bigger. But we did have a wonderful waiter.

We ate in several locations of this superb franchise. Lovely décor, great food, outstanding service! Sampled most of the menu and every meal was delicious. Excellent wines, scrumptious fresh bread. The Prawn Gratinee appetizer is a ‘don’t miss’! They offer great pre– and port– theatre specials as well. Can’t say enough about this excellent chain. Much time & thought has been put into your dining experience.

After some aimless wandering, I stumbled across the Cote Brasserie for lunch. What I love about it is you can tell that they’ve put effort into the ambience, the presentation and the way they interact with customers. It was such a welcoming place. I had a 3-course set menu — flatbread with caramelised onion and camembert, chargrilled chicken breast with garlic butter and frites, finished with a dark chocolate pot and crème fraîche. All were presented perfectly and exactly what I’d expected. And that would be why it’s not a 5-star review. Food was great — perfect, in fact. The vibe was also outstanding. But there was nothing that made me go «Wow!» Would definitely go back again. It’s a safe place to take someone you would need to take out for a safe dining experience.

Was fast gelingt. Passables Essen. Gratis Tafel Wasser aus rustikaler Tonflasche. Nette und schnelle Bedienung. Für eine Kette insgesamt sehr ordentlich. Morgens: Toast mit drei(!) Marmeladen 2.90 Pfund oder so. Earl Grey kommt im netten Kännchen. Zusammen mit Drink-Geld: 4 Pfund. Das ist o.k. für West London. Es gibt sogar Zeitungen. Alternativ und intimer: Café Raoul’s, 105 – 107 Talbot Road London W11

So the fella and I felt like some posh nosh in west London, and having been turned away by the overly-packed places along Portobello Road(who don’t subscribe to the concept of spontaneity) we stumbled along Westbourne Grove and found that a Cote restaurant had popped up out of nowhere. I first heard of Cote when they took over a favourite Thai place of ours by Hays Galleria, but on this night, Cote looked just posh enough for our plans, but without the scary prices on the menu. We swooped through a curtained entranceway and found the place busy, but with a «come on in, join us!» vibe, rather than a «hurry up, we need your table in an hour» kind of mood. There was an awkward moment when we thought we’d be out of luck, but lo! they found us a table. The service was so attentive and polite at first I felt like they might have mistaken me for a West London Somebody. Fantastic French food — I expected to be slightly disappointed, but I wasn’t. At all. I was almost disappointed to not be disappointed, because it would mean I would want to come back here. We started with one of the specials, a platter of pâté, saucisson sec, and other deliciousness. Plus, when we ordered water there was no hideous«sparkling or still?» upselling which always forces one to wave an urgent finger in the air and shout«Just tap water thanks!» and have all the posher people crumple their chins disapprovingly in your direction. Instead we were brought a lovely Cote-own ceramic carafe and breathed a sigh of relief. Mains were beef bourguignon, and linguine with tiger prawns, mussels, clams and squid. I don’t even normally do shellfish, but tonight we were dining proper, and it was absolutely delicious. The prices were also very reasonable — I wouldn’t say cheap, but I’ve paid more for heart-sinkingly bad meals before, and I suppose I’m surprised when I get a great meal for a great price. Two bottles of fabulous French wine later we were peckish again so we ordered, rather than dessert, some olives and breads, which were again very tasty(although note, Cote, pitted olives are always nicer, to avoid that spitting-out-pits-at-the-table situation). After our meal the delightfully friendly waiter brought us far too many complimentary liqueurs. We tried to get up to leave twice but they kept on coming. I’m not sure if this is a new-restaurant-warmer or if that’s something they will continue to offer, but it was a very nice touch. Although it did mean we were ludicrously hammered by the time we left. Is that what West London Somebodies do? Either way, we left happy.
